John P (de) wrote: Very Well done - Story line & characters interesting to keep you laughing crying & caring for the best to happen to the main characters in the story! Disney could not of done a better job!

Ciaran B (us) wrote: No just no seriously why would someone wanna watch this rubbish film

Kenneth H (mx) wrote: The movie's pacing is slower than the average movie, it works well for this movie, but the climax and conclusion were all over with in a five minute span. It felt more content and time could have been put into making the climax and conclusion more interesting. It's a good twist well worth waiting for, just the short duration of it and the sudden ending, felt like it didn't quite reach the level of suspense build up it should have with the overall pacing. Some shaky camera scenes throughout could annoy some, but it seems to fit well with the film. Some scenes end in still shots, so some people might get annoyed by that, after thinking something could have been wrong with the camera, or movie projector, or their tv, or their phone, or whatever it's being watched on. It seems like one of those movies where people either love it or hate it, or just like it, it did have a few let downs. Still a good flick though.

Ranvis F (gb) wrote: It's different from other Dracula movies I've seen, but as good as other, if not better. Though from other reviews, I understand that this film has many historical errors.

Michael W (gb) wrote: Competently made sci-fi outing held back by confusing plot and an overload of machine gun fire. Gruner does manage some character development and a memorable eyeball procedure may have set the bar for the series.

Kunst J (us) wrote: If you are only familiar with Peter Boyle from Everybody Loves Raymond you need to see him playing Joe when he was in his prime. This stands along side Taxi Driver as another great performance from him in a 70s classic. The performance of a young Susan Sarandon as Joe's daughter also adds an extra element of interest.

Clayton D (mx) wrote: Ray is a director on par with Japan's three-lettered-last-name great (that would be Ozu) and this film is as strong as any in his canon. One of the best films about religious hypocrisy ever made.

Andrey B (au) wrote: It's hard to believe that this movie is almost 80 years old. Everything is good in it, camera work, directing, witty humor and of course performances. Not to mention its role in defining its genre.

Keith C (ca) wrote: Fairly fun trash with a rudimentary story, abysmal performances, terrific special effects, and some surprisingly sharp editing. Worth a watch if you love monsters as much as I do.

Dov D (br) wrote: In Val Guest's crowning directoral achievement The Day The Earth Caught Fire, the pace pace is much faster than other films of the time whilst having little actual action occurring, creating an interesting final product. The dialogue is hard to follow from the get go, but once you get into this film, it never lets you go. This is potentially the best apocalypse movie I have ever seen, due in large part to the phenomenally well written script. Bottom line, definitely worth seeing for anyone who respects classic cinema...
