Jessamin S (kr) wrote: I'm sorry so many people disliked this. Gothic drama is not horror...it's a romantic and somewhat gentle genre. I laughed out loud in some of this as well. It may not have hit the mark perfectly, but it was worth my time.

Bec E (it) wrote: Some parts are real and some parts are not? I got really confused. Perhaps not my kind of film... too confusing. I did like the artsy doll figures recreating past memories. Nice job there. Best quote: Yi: "What is true love?"" You need to take someone to Applebee's and get them hot-wings".

Minachan L (ca) wrote: the email in the ending got me. i liked how the scares keep coming. sad ending. i liked it. So-young: Who becomes a cop to find a first love? Hyun-ki: Me! *raises his hand* So-young slaps him on the back of the head.

Douteux quand meme

Brett H (gb) wrote: Average in every aspect you can think of, and then it has the balls to pull the rug out from under the audience at the end and make us realize we wasted our time. Nicolas Cage movies became an event post-2005 and all his roles became interchangeable, and this has PAYCHECK FILM written all over it. The story is interesting enough, loosely adapted from a Philip K. Dick story, but the inconsistencies in the writing (possibly due to the many re-writes) and the bland chemistry amongst the actors leave it D.O.A. The HUMONGOUS issue lies with the ending where nearly everything you just saw didn't matter and you're left with no clear resolution; pissed me off! It's as forgettable as it's title with lousy special effects and no one giving a damn.

David G (mx) wrote: Interesting little movie. It stars Tim Roth as Trevor who is a teenage skinhead sent to an assessment center after putting a brick through a minority store-owner's window. It is a short movie and kind of just shows a quick snapshot of a troubled yet intelligent youth's life. Tim Roth is amazing. His character Trevor comes off extremely condescending and obnoxious.I don't think the movie is really trying to make you root for him or anything. It is really just trying to show that people like this exist. It is sort of showing a reflection of the worst of society. I think it is also showing the failures of society through governments and misunderstood social issues.

Anthony S (au) wrote: Considered to be the greatest Canadian film ever made and..... I don't really get it. It's very, very slow moving which isn't necessarily a problem, but I just couldn't keep my interest and I kept veering off of the story. Nicely made, but I just don't see anything superb.

Kyle B (jp) wrote: A cute little movie with nice performances. Jim Broadbant is great in everything and Jeff Goldblum has a nice supporting part. The score really captures the french feel
