Jason J (it) wrote: In an alternative Japan, the government has passed a "Prosperity Law" which means that 1 in 1000 citizens aged 18-24 will die each year from a nano-capsule that's been injected in them when they were young and will explode inside their body, killing them instantly. The reason for this law is to keep crime and suicides down. This movie focuses on one government worker as he sets about delivering an "Ikigami" to 3 people. The "Ikigami" which is a death note informs the person that they've got 24 hours left on this earth and that they can whatever they want. We get to follow the 3 on their final day of their lives and how the government worker starts getting 2nd thoughts about the law. What an incredibly sad tale this was and it really makes you think about the value of life. I thought it was magnificent all round from the storyline, cast, the music and the acting. I teared up in the end, that's the kind of effect this movie will have on you. Most definitely recommended.

Nicki M (ca) wrote: Flawed, but has such interesting characters you can almost look past it. Very slow moving, though, and not for anyone who likes a big story. The acting is great in this. I mainly rented it because it had Ellen Page in it, although her role is not that major, it was one of her earlier ones from before "Juno" etc. Worth a look if you like smaller movies not shot on a large budget.

Stephen M (mx) wrote: Terrible. A sad movie about a pathetic low life with no redeeming qualities. That's all I really have to say. I want to give it 0% but apparently I cannot go lower than 10%

One of my favorites of all time. I can get tired of watching Pee Wee's big adventure. but never this one. One of my favorite scenes is when Joe Putzman goes to shake the guys hand.

Jesse R (us) wrote: This was a pretty good movie. Your typical 80s type ninja movie. Just an American as the ninja. There's also several sequels to this film. American Ninja 2: The Confrontation (1987), American Ninja 3: Blood Hunt (1989)- this film doesn't feature Michael Dudikoff. American Ninja 4: The Annihilation (1990), which does feature Michael Dudikoff. The final film in the collection is American Ninja 5 (1993), which again, doesn't feature Michael Dudikoff. This film doesn't seem to follow the story from the previous four films.

Cade H (ca) wrote: The Transporter Refueled was a weird mix between Indian Jones, the original Transporter and Taken. The storyline was basic but the few big actions scenes made it entertaining for short periods. The rest of the film focused so much on the relationship between father and son and a love interest in the bad girl who hired him for the job. It was hilarious how much the Transporters father was like Indies father in the those films, he always was getting himself in trouble, was a ladies man, and called his son Jr. The action was good but it never hit a high mark and there wasn't one big scene that stands out in my mind. The side characters and especially the bad guys were weak and you just can't have that in this type of film. Jason Statham helped make the original series, and unfortunately this new guy Ed Skrein, fell short and just did not make Refueled and viable franchise leading man.
