Ed C (nl) wrote: One line summary: Repackaged zombie schlock; almost any zombie film is better.-------------------------------------------- The US military tried to make a super soldier. (The film lost one star of five, there.) As a side effect, a bad strain of communicable toxin was released near a town in Eastern Europe, Romania specifically. (Spare me.) A small group of rejects are sent in to clean up the mess. They soon see that they are considered expendable. They encounter the daughter of the biologist who created the mess in the first place. Can the US military be thwarted and the world saved?------Scores------- Cinematography: 8/10 OK, mostly. At the end, the worst fake breasts I've seen in a zombie film. Sound: 6/10 If one is going to dub certain actors, at least hire a good voice actor, and give them reasonable lines. Acting: 1/10 Some human beings showed up, hit their marks, and read their lines, so I guess there was some acting. Accents are all over the map. Some actors are dubbed, badly. The samurai lady looks like she's never picked up a sword. The sniper is using a single-shot bolt action rifle from mid-20th century, and using it badly compared to the legend of his accomplishments. Screenplay: 1/10 Terrible dialog, not much of a story. Absurd origin tale of the outbreak. Cliche ridden.

Grant S (mx) wrote: Brilliant biopic. The story of Winston Churchill's World War 2 life. From the outset, to him becoming Prime Minister and further, capturing all the major highs and lows. The famous speeches and quotes are all there.Concludes with the 1945 election, where the British people betrayed Churchill and ushered in a more socialist Britain, and ended an empire. Solid direction and script. What makes the movie, however, is Brendan Gleeson. He IS Churchill, to the smallest mannerism. Brilliant performance by him.Excellent performance too from Janet McTeer as Clementine, Churchill's wife.

James H (ca) wrote: This may be an underrated thriller. This movie boasts some very interesting characters that you hate and love and the premise itself is very interesting. Bits of it are cringe worthy however (which is probably meant) and my main problem is that movie doesn't come to a full circle at the end but still a solid character study.
Aaron H (mx) wrote: This was an interesting movie. The main character is an anachronism, and you get to see him take on his NEW struggles an OLD way. It's a bit vulgar, that's why you have the R rating, but otherwise a somewhat wholesome movie.

Alex r (kr) wrote: Cemetery Man is a fine comedy horror film that is effectively directed by horror master Michele Soavi, who has made his mark in Italian horror by directing La Chiesa (The Church). Soavi crafts yet another memorable horror film that is a very entertaining and is sure to delight zombie film fans. The film has everything that you'd expect from Italian horror films is here, and the film, though not perfect is a must see for genre fans. The film has enough gore and effective genre elements to keep you interested and delivers something amusing on-screen. Cemetery Man is good for what it is, but it is not the best effort from director Soavi, who has made far better pictures in the 80's. As a whole, take this film as a mindless picture that will manages to overcome its imperfections by giving zombie fans plenty of undead carnage on-screen. The plot may be at times lacking, but with a film like this, the zombies are all that matters and Michel Soavi direction gives viewers plenty to enjoy despite its flaws. Cemetery Man is not the greatest of Italian zombie pictures, but it definitely isn't the worst. This film was deemed to be a Comedy horror film; the comedic tone of the film is flat and virtually nonexistent and the film's material has a much darker tone in retrospect. I enjoyed the film, but like I said, Soavi made far better films, but overall this is an underrated film that deserves to be revisited by genre fans. The film is bizarre enough to make it a worthwhile viewing experience. Cemetery Man is a unique zombie offering, one that is sure to delight fans who are looking for good gore and zombie mayhem.
