Gordon B (ag) wrote: My brain tells me this is an ambitious and intelligent film about love, gender, and civilization. But my gut tells me this is a pretentious and cold little art film that that thinks violence and horror are the same thing. I 'm going with my gut on this one.

John R (br) wrote: 161114: Patsy Kensit is hot. A lot hotter than the story offered in this weak sequel. Disappointed in the naivety of law enforcement in this film. If someone is trying to kill you, and they are killing people all around you, you may want to be situationally aware. Leo Getz (Joe Pesci) is good for a few laughs. Don't really see any reason to see this film again...other than to see Kensit in the buff.

Edgar C (gb) wrote: Good cast promises and performances and an absorbing 30s environment wasted by lack of character's background exploration. It touched interesting concepts. Allow me to highlight the schizophrenia one. It is precisely because of the problem I mentioned that the (scary and) emotional impact that Francis' visions are supposed to have feel flat and unexplained. In the end, it came out as a random element that could have been excluded. On the other hand, certain flashbacks were engaging and felt like richer in content, but were abruptly cut. It's like trying to pee in peace and constantly getting interrupted so you can never finish. But as a final line, I'd like this to remain: Ironweed does not deserve to be ignored with the intensity it is today.67/100

Dylan W (us) wrote: One of my favorite films. The perfect buddy cop movie. Non biased 4stars, personally 5 stars. The set up to the characters is great. The comedy is funny, a couple of gut busters. The action is real and believe able. The crash of characters fit the actors very well. Excellent writing, good performances, solid action, and all around good film making.
