This is the story of Rico, a man who lives in New York in 1976 but who lives his own life in Paris during the time of the 'New Wave'. He is a photographer who thinks he's a gangster, a loner, and an outsider. He uses his camera like a gun, loading it with bullets of film. He's constantly on the look for a reality to fulfill his fantasy, and as long as he has that energy, he lives. Of course, he's also a romantic, and this is his downfall, because he believes all photographers to be liars. When Rico falls in love, the delicate balance of the world he has made for himself is disrupted.

I hope you are reading this cause I want to know, How can I always try so hard to win a girls heart but fail either they have a boyfriend or leave the state. But why is it always me? I am a man who as a child met a friend( who was my substitute teacher) she taught me about love by showing it to me through her kindness, sweet smile and warmth. I've been a head over heels romantic ever since, and have tried to meet someone who reminds me of her so I can call them my wife. It's my dream to become a film critic and have a beautiful wife who reminds me of her. But this film has taught me one thing I can still no matter what Get Myself Loved(even if I'm still hung up on the past three hearts I've tried to steal) I will Get Myself Loved. On his Way to a meeting, aspiring novelist Sam Wexler(Radnor) finds Rasheen, a young boy separated from his family on the subway. When Rasheen refuses to be left with social services, Sam has learned the boy has been placed in six previous foster homes and agrees to let Rasheen stay with him. Dropped into Sam's chaotic bachelor lifestyle, Rasheen is introduced to Sam's circle of friends:Annie(Malin Akerman) who has a pattern of dating the wrong men, Mary-Catherine(Zoe Kazan) and Charlie(Pablo Schreiber) whose potential move to Los Angles threatens their relationship, and Mississippi(Kate Mara) an aspiring singer/waitress who tests Sam's fear of commitment. As Sam's unlikely friendship with Rasheen develops, he realize adulthood is not about waiting for the life you want, but simply stumbling ahead and making it happen along the way.I saw this film specifically for the writer, director and star of the picture Josh Radnor. I am a big fan of his because he has always played characters who have the same aspect of a romantic(Ted from How I met Your Mother) and someone who doesn't act or feel his age and is depressed(Jesse from Liberal Arts) characters I feel are a lot like me. I don't act my age because of my mentality, I am often depressed because I am a guy who is a head over the heels romantic but he never gets to show that side. The film was interesting because of it's ingenious inspiration of not just being man sees girl, girl falls for man and a tragedy happens. This is real love, it takes commitment. Characters are deep sadness with their lives and relationships but stick it through and try to listen and do what they can for the others who love them. I was very moved by Radnor's Akerman and Mara's performance they were a joy when they were on-screen. Radnor is a good director his next picture he made after this(LIberal Arts) may be better but this has it's own magical touch and he always likes to film in New York city and he makes it look amazing.Happythankyoumoreplease is a sharp comedy with deep characters, and deserves more recognition, I'm giving Happythankyoumoreplease a five out of five.

(kr) wrote: Fun but middling flick based on the "Sukeban Deka" (Delinquent Girl Detective) TV/manga series. A bit talky in parts, but some nice action scenes by the end. It probably have been more fun if I was more familiar w/ the source material. (For example, I didn't catch the cameos by the 80's cast until I watch the "making of" extra.)

(ru) wrote: not a great flick but tensed enough to keep you focused on this rush against the time type of film.
(ru) wrote: It's a neat little low budget cross-over, but it's way too quick. The film only lasts 60 minutes and much of the time is took up with flashbacks and credits. There's not a lot to the story and there's plot holes everywhere. The sets are pretty cool though, and the action is decent. I wish it was a bit longer with better battles, but it's still a fun little Full Moon cross-over film.

(mx) wrote: It's loud, nonsensical, and all over the place, and yet I'd still recommend Hotel Transylvania for its interesting ideas, thoughtful moments, and surprisingly funny gags flying left and right
(br) wrote: This 1860's set drama that takes place in the lower echelons of Paris society begins questionably weak but builds into a solid, taut drama by film's end. Based on the "scandalous" mile Zola novel, Thrse Raquin, In Secret is the story of the ill-fortuned Therese (Elizabeth Olson - Martha Marcy May Marlene), who is sent to live with her aunt (Jessica Lange - "Big Fish") and sickly cousin as a child. With no prospects, she does as society both permitted and allowed at the time marrying her cousin (Tom Felton - Harry Potter) whom she has long-played nursemaid to. Her marriage is loveless and life passionless until she meets the son of a former family friend (Oscar Isaac - Inside Llweyn Davis) of the Requin's and they embark on a torrid and clandestine romance. When they fear their affair may have to come to an end, they take drastic action with both horrifying and tragic consequences. Much like Therese' life, the early scenes in the film are rather dull but as she begins to feel a passion for life the film, too, comes alive ... most likely through the strength of both Olson and Isaac. Tense and tragic, In Secret becomes a rather decent period drama.

(us) wrote: wow... the audience sure got this one wrong. even the critics underrated it. i enjoyed this movie a lot. the pacing is rather slow. the landscape bleak and the story has a few holes in it but it creates a mesmerizing mood. there are many bloody fight scenes and violence.i'd give it between 3 and 1/2 stars and four but i'll bump it up to four since it is so underrated.

The whole movie just seemed lame and to formulated. I knew what was going to happen, and with Disney you know the Alien Childern aren't in any real harm. With there 'special' abilities to help them survive, it's only a matter of time before there beamed up and we can all go on with our own lives again...
