(au) wrote: Fun movie about life in a retirement home where the evil retirees try to take out the staff -- only to be charmed into obedience by a young newcomer. The individual characters are a lot of fun, but I found it unconvincing that one good yelling at these folks was enough to have them see the errors of their way.

(ca) wrote: Has great music but removes the humor and adds weirdness, a depressing plot and has the first movies one flaw, painfully slow pacing.
(de) wrote: Sure, it's sloppy and a bit all-over-the-place, but the thing that works about 'Blue in the Face' is how dedicated it is to just making itself into a snapshot of Brooklyn on film. That and Lou Reed's absolutely perfect every second he's on screen -- and who would've thought that would be the case?
(fr) wrote: "Dead End Drive-In" is a cheesy Aussie cult film set in future world that looks remarkably like a cross between a music video from The Cure and deleted scenes from Mad Max. However, the film makes up for its lack of original vision with a unique premise (teens stuck in a drive-in cinema thats actually a concentration camp) and a cheeky self awareness.

(nl) wrote: Stylish spaghetti western from director Enzo G. Castellari is one of the most artfully made of its genre - complete with Peckinpah-esque slow-motion action scenes. The story is nothing special, but told with Castellari's extraordinary visual sense and production values well above the usual Italian exploitation movie standards - with great gritty cinematography and authentic production design - this is easily one of the best spaghetti westerns ever made. The really strange soundtrack by Guido and Maurizio De Angelis was a questionable choice, though. A must for spaghetti western fans.
(it) wrote: Although hampered by an obvious low budget, this is an excellent example of 1950s science fiction with one of the most unique monsters ever conceived. A giant alien machine comes to earth to extract energy from various sources then export that energy to replenish supplies on its home planet. A refreshing change from the standard plots of most b-flicks.

(ag) wrote: All the President's Men is an excellent film. It is about reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein who uncover the details of the Watergate scandal that leads to President Richard Nixon's resignation. Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford give fantastic performances. The screenplay is well written. Alan J. Pakula did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama and history. All the President's Men is a must see.
