Todd S (es) wrote: Often times, when a generic horror film is as lazy and predictable as Killer Holiday, the producers try to spice things up by adding something that will trick viewers into seeing it. Sometimes it's a unique location, other times they will make the film more comedic, and the most common trick of all is to have an attractive cast, that is wearing very little. Killer Holiday tries all three, which should tell you something about the story! A group of college kids rent an RV for a summer trip and decide that the highway is too boring, so they take the back roads. On the way they find an old abandoned amusement park, whose fun house is home to a serial killer. A killer with the last name Holiday, who introduces himself to his victims, yes it really is THAT bad. From there the film is one big chase to get away from the mad men. Rational people would have just gotten in the RV and left, but drunk college kids apparently aren't that bright. The cast is all no names and it really shows as some of them seemed like they were literally reading from the script. Horror movies are by nature somewhat predictable, but when you throw in some really bad, albeit good looking actors, and a bizarre story that goes around in circles, you have the recipe for something that is basically unwatchable.
Hrant B (au) wrote: This was a nice little flick but this was the B rated version to Never Been Kissed with B rated actors like Jamie Kennedy and Denise Richards. They are has bins in the movie industry. I do think Leelee is a talented actress but the role in this movie was not for her. Other than brief nudity you could skip this one all together.

I loved the humour, and i actually liked Michael Douglas so much in this. As ever Robert Downey Jr. is a delight & Tobey Maguire does well to play an interesting outcast, i'd only ever saw him in Spiderman who i guess is also an outcast in a different way. I wasn't too into Kate Holmes's portrayal of whatever she was meant to be but hey every movie has it's dud moments. I'm not understanding this whole 'Pretentious' feeling. I think that word is so overused and half the people that use it don't even know what it means. What you see is what you get.
Andrew S (ru) wrote: Twisted to the point madness, dark, and racy. This incestuous, mind boggling dark comedy is amazingly down to earth for being so dark it's almost isolating. Kudos to Davies

Leslie W (jp) wrote: not a bad movie, yes the cops were bullies, but it doesn't make it right what rambo did but it is understanding, the cops wouldn't leave him alone. His survivalist ways are interesting and at some moments the film is thematic and thrilling. It is somewhat better than the book. And America is given a new hero and icon.
