Ryan R (ag) wrote: While a bit longer than it needs to be, Korengal offers a fascinating and important perspective on modern soldiers.

Helen S (ru) wrote: Would be easy to write this off as a technical experiment in film making - 90 minutes of a man driving to Croydon whilst making a series of (hands free) phone calls in which his professional and personal life unravels. No one else appears on screen other than Tom Hardy, the camera is rarely off him and after he gets in the car he doesn't leave the driving seat, so camera angles are limited. However, a remarkably absorbing performance from Tom Hardy makes this tense emotional film well worth watching. Who knew pouring concrete could be so engrossing? Don't expect car chases, shootouts or explosions - just well-acted intelligent drama.driving

David M (de) wrote: I just watched this movie, and tried to explain it to my friend. I realized the summary is a pretty good review, so I've just copied and pasted exactly what I told him.I just watched the most inexplicable little movie I've seen in a long time.Slumber Party Massacre 2in the first one, the killer was just some dude. People at that time thought it was boring. So for the sequel, the killer is a Lovecraftian bowie-esque rock and roll night stalker with a power drill guitarhe plays sick riffs while yelling lame 80's catchphrases and preying on the innocent.

Brian S (kr) wrote: If you can ignore the fucking terrible CGI effects, it stands out as a pretty satisfying and super entertaining movie. The acting by Jack Nicholson and other really famous actors are excellent. And even the CGI effects, you can think of the shlockiness as a result of being extraterrestrial. It also real well references the old 1950's science-fiction B-movies such as Earth vs. The Flying Saucers and The Day the Earth Stood Still. You can tell that this is a Tim Burton flick and it's also very funny and a fun appearance by Tom Jones and his music!! Recommended !!
