Paul P (mx) wrote: When Marianne and Johan finally reunite after a lifetime apart its Bergman at his best. The pain, memories, hope and the brutal reality, just brilliant. Then the movie shifts and focuses on Johan's son Henrik and his daughter Karin. I was disappointed at first but the dynamic they share with each other as well as with Johan and Marianne is really fascinating. All four actors are brilliant and the way Bergman cares for each character shines through wonderfully. A fitting last film for one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.

Chris M (nl) wrote: Early backstage musical about a Broadway director (Warner Baxter) with failing health who is determined to put on one more big show. But when the leading lady (Bebe Daniels) breaks her ankle, it's up to a replacement (Ruby Keeler) from the chorus and the leading man (Dick Powell) to go on with the show. While I liked a few songs like "Young and Healthy" and the title tune, 42nd Street is basically a routine, heavily cliched backstage musical that has no real time to develop its underwritten characters or add something more to its stale plot.
Robert M (kr) wrote: This is yet another unique and fun animated film by Blue Sky Studios (Ice Age, Rio). I grew up enjoying it enough during my elementary years and I would still consider it a pretty good one that features a mechanical world with the classic style of toy robots. For it??s theme especially, it has a good story about an individual that never gives up on his dream. With unique fun characters featuring some top actors (especially Williams and Brooks) fun visuals, and a decent plot, this one is a pretty good keeper for kids and adults that love that kooky animation.
