(ag) wrote: This movie is enjoyable and funny enough to leave you liking it. The only issue I had was the transition of the two stories. At one moment one of the character's story would be more interesting than the other. Then all of a sudden you go back to the less entertaining story. Also the moral of the original book can't really be seen because of too many things going on at once. This movie is worth a buy .

I expected something like Trainspotting coz that's what the advertising had been about "best film since... etc etc". It's nothing at all like Trainspotting - just in case you were wondering - It's an excellent film in its own right and I can recall cringing when Malky Johnson comes THIS CLOSE to taking Lex's head off as he cycles away. Great coming of age story, easily overlooked.

I love the cast, everyone with a particular character, I. Adjani ...as usual, we love to hate her, probably one of the most talented French actress but under exploited due to her too independent personality.
