Like Rocky and a few other inspiring characters of sports films Seve was discouraged by rules, money problems, and societal niches. He honed his skills in golf and used them to climb the ladder of success and become a renowned golf icon. His tenacity and drive was emulated by Jose Luis Gutierrez, who's impressive acting chops made the viewer forget they were watching a sports film about Seve, but instead watch a gifted boy's plight to follow his heart.

Some of the wackier Japanese elements make up for it. I like the bullying twins from the flashbacks, the precognitive hobos and the giant robot finale. Those crazy Japanese!

(us) wrote: It's weird to think that the prince from the first Little Mermaid was trying to fuck a fish/lady hybrid. Before I begin, I would like to apologise for my Starving Games review. It was an awful review on my part and I should've done a better job regardless of its overall quality, after all I do review bad movies as a hobby.Back to the review! So we join Ariel and several other Fish Ladies in a Fish version of North Korea where The King is Grorious Reader and the citizens are the indoctrinated masses. With exception to Ariel who has to be kooky and unusual because the script say so even if it adds nothing to the movie itself. The movie is carelessly made to say the least; the animation is sub-par at best, the voice acting is lazy and unentheusiastic and there is a lack of plot which tears apart a movie like Godzilla tears up Mothra. The sea looks very bland and the castle looks horrifyingly boring to say the least. The story is unrelenting cliche, with the protagonist complaining about having to do the same thing everyday and everything being predictable. Sounds like we found an ideal wife for Jack Black...The villain feels uninspired and lame. Kind of like a fish version of Cinderella II where the villain posed no actual threat and was not at all menacing like a good Disney villain should be. The family that Ariel is a part of in this flick feel like something pulled right out of a Barbie movie. Yes, that's right! A Barbie movie!Unless you truly hate your daughter, do not subject her to this truly awful, derivative garbage which will make you want to dump Nuclear Waste into the sea.

(ru) wrote: I hate when non-movie critic average people write reviews like they work for high end review websites, so I'm not going to go in to great detail about why I like it(because I'm not qualified and neither are any of you other stupid facebook friends). But I loved it. Go watch it and decide for yourself.
