Judy E (ag) wrote: 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the movie but I didn't understand the ending. What happened to the boy? Stellan Skarsgard was excellent.

Kari K (ru) wrote: I really liked this movie.. I saw it last night and it is a gripping story. Granted there was a bit of subplot that you kind of had to grasp throughout the movie, but that was what I liked the most. It took place during one fateful evening and there is where you get hooked. I felt for all those characters so I commend Henry Leroy Finch as writer and director as well as the fine actors in this movie.

Nick B (kr) wrote: I read favorable stuff about this on some list and thought I'd check it out... it was on my netflix queue simply due to Paul Rudd... its written by Ken Marino (Party Down) and was financed by Mark Cuban... so far I haven't seen anything good come from Mark Cuban... the only good thing I found that he executive produced on IMDB was Good Night and Good Luck.... the rest of it is suspect and this is no different... theres some amusing parts but really its just a huge downer and theres no reason for Rudd or any of them really... everyones down, their towns being taken over by a huge conglomerate, theres death, and theres a ton of drugs and pill popping... good times......

Dvina E (de) wrote: Lovely love story, not to mention the fact I like Kymani Marley & it was great to see him play a softer character rather than Shottas. It shows some really nice places in Jamaica like Emancipation Park & I love the Roots Village also.

Anders A (ag) wrote: In the vein of epicness, its a powerful and emotional journey through the divded korea-n-war. Two brothers are swept from innocense to hard-boiled blood. Yet, its grandour broadness, it somehow dont capture my total consentration.

Todd A (de) wrote: It's a light quirky piece but is enhanced by Miyazaki's ever present sentimentality.

Octavian (gb) wrote: Woody Allen rapes children.

Paul G (es) wrote: I'm not interested in any edited version of a movie I believe a movie should be watched in its grueling entirety "un-cut".

Greg R (de) wrote: A remarkable Jacque Tati classic. It's a delightful, inventive, charming, imaginative, light-hearted comedy that both satirizes and celebrates the modern world of technology.

Giorgio D (it) wrote: Today is a bit dated, but still one of a few mythological movies of the time and enjoyable

Carlos M (jp) wrote: A great sequel about the endurance of the money game and the pleasure for some to be in the speculation battle, with a sharp dialogue and another amazing performance by Douglas in this compelling story whose sole misstep is a weak, unnecessary conflict in the final act.
