One of the intelligent approaches of this well-made movie is that plays with you and appearances, telling (without telling) hidden things, or making you think something to discover you a while later that you were wrong (there are even facts which are not clear, and you can think whatever you want about! -that explains so many different interpretations about the film in the different comments). A movie about feelings which mixes emotion with joy with sadness, and which shows the aspects of either desire to live life with meannes. Nice to watch.

Robert N (ru) wrote: OMG, can't believe I have chance to review this. I am perhaps the only person alive whose seen it and that was at the advice of a friend who no doubt was playing on me.Like many French films it is dull rambling and pointless so I can't really tell you much about it except that one, despite the sexy looking pics, box cover it's all a ruse. Most of the time it's this group of people doing what people in French films do - stand around talking endlessly about nothing. There's one very funny scene however; the group is standing around at the beach talking, no surprise here, for what seems forever as all the while behind them a big German Shepherd is staring intently over a wooden fence separating his yard from the next. This goes on as they continue to have the signature long drawn out conversation. Finally ? we were at a movie house; I turn to my girlfriend and ask ?what the heck is that German Shepherd looking at?? Seems that was on everyone?s mind because I heard the question repeated and people just start laughing.

Grant K (gb) wrote: An existential tale of maturity, angst, loneliness, love, hate and the crushing feeling of failure. At once hopeless yet also inspirational and emotionally riveting, "Quadrophenia" is one hell of a film that packs one hell of a wallop. The Blu Ray Criterion collection version is beyond superb with restored picture and 5.1 surround sound.

A Texas oil family anguishs over the discovery that money (cue the symphony orchestra) can't buy me love. Bacall alone refuses to submit to this pleased-with-itself debauchery that meekly pretends to disdain wealth.
Senor C (us) wrote: Even @ a 1 star rating that's pretty generous for what The Beast w/ a Million Eyes actually is. It's really only a slight animal gone wild movie who's acting isn't very good, it's pacing shotty & actual writing has a lot to be desired. It even has a high frequency test pattern that goes off that his brutal to the hung over. But after all is said & done Ive seen worse. It's really not too painful but is truly a uber low budget time waster. It's one of those films that if you want to check in/check out for some old c-grade 50s b/w for 80s minutes on a lazy afternoon & take nothing away from it it fits the bill

Brian S (ru) wrote: A terrific film noir crime drama, by the master of suspense himself, Alfred Hitchcock. The film has excellent production value, the black and white looks gorgeous and the clever thrilling plot line is why it's the best film noir I've seen yet ! The characters are all very convincing and it's just a disturbing piece of mystery cinema. Hitchcock's daughter is also in the movie. Certainly recommended !!
