Dominic Martin A (gb) wrote: Music & Lyrics is basically a light-hearted popcorn musical romcom for the couple looking to kill some time. The real charm of the movie is in the lead's chemistry, with Grant and Barrymore delivering a cute believable couple brought together by a seemingly convenient turn of events. There is nothing special about the plot, as it is shallow and predictable, as intended by the director. The movie also shows hilarious skits that parody the music videos of old. You immediately know where the movie is going from the start, but nonetheless it proves itself entertaining.
Jason D (ru) wrote: Oy vey! I thought the first Bats was bad! Bats 2: Electric Bugaloo, uh, I mean Human Harvest is just a plain awful sequel that bares NO resemblance to the first film. Basically, a random platoon of elite military forces are sent into a forest (in Romania, hence the rest of the cast struggling with their English) to obtain an evil scientist who controls genitally mutated, carnivorous bats that swoop in an eat mothafuckas up instantaneously. The acting is miserable and the bats and helicopters are basically cartoons. This serves moreso as a sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit than the original bats. Hell, for a few dollars more, they could have at least brought back Leon; that brotha ain't doing anything right now! Terrible excuse for a nature run-amok horror film, but oddly enough, not a bad comedy.

Dylan D (de) wrote: Street Kings is a decent "bad cop" movie that is more of a rehash of old ideas rather than offering anything new or groundbreaking. It does follow formula well, though, and as such is not a complete loss. The performances are fine, as is the direction; just don't expect anything more than a slightly above-average cop drama and you'll enjoy Street Kings. The movie is definitely for mature audiences who can stomach some hard-to-watch brutality.

Brian R (jp) wrote: Jamie Bell made this movie. Without him, it would have just been ok. He pulled an amazing American accent. What a talented actor! I could watch him read the dictionary. I was a bit annoyed that Kristen Stewart was in it, but thankfully she was just in it for a bit (and oddly enough playing basically the same character as she does in those crappy Twilight movies...she sucks so hard). Movie gets 4 stars for Jamie's performance and mesmerizing rain sequence.
Kyle V (fr) wrote: If you crave satisfaction...this is the place to find that ACTION. as a movie this sucks....it's horrible. As a definition of everything blaxploitation is and was, it suceeds all the way and that is why I rated this so highly. The movie is entertaining because, not only is it poorly shot (several instance the boom mic can be seen looming overhead) but the acting is so horrible as well! It seemed like they just pulled a bunch of local guys to be in the movie and it's hilariously bad. i give bad movies low ratings...but I give hilariously bad movies high ratings. Especially movies like this, that define a lost genre.
