Private U (jp) wrote: Absurdly overrated and nowhere near the quality of its predecessors. Nonsensical, overstuffed, poorly edited, and overly lugubrious, TDKR is just not a good film. Nolan apologists will forever maintain its greatness, but the flaws are nearly endless, some unforgivable.

Adam L (ag) wrote: I don't know why so many people shit on this masterpiece. This Japanese anime movie is top notch and I can't find anything to complain about. The CGI was so realistic I couldn't see the difference between the CGI and real life. The acting preformed by the one who played Dracula deserves 912836371% too btw. If Bram Stoker was alive and saw that conformance, he would probably burn his version of Dracula in shame. Overall, this has got to be the best vampire movie ever created and deserves the perfect score of 100/100.

Travis T (br) wrote: Not at all what I expected. And probably not in a good way. I thought it was going to be really funny. But it wasn't. It was some kind of love story drama with a light side. There were few moments of comedy. Tim Allen plays exactly the same character as everything else. Does he ever do anything different?

Brenton H (ag) wrote: Silly, crazy, zany. A 70s comedy, but featuring an early Arnold Schwarzenegger cameo as a gym instructor.

Trent M (br) wrote: Pretty average noir about Fred MacMurray falling for a criminal's girlfriend (played by Kim Novak) as she is under surveillance. The story of his partner falling for the woman in the apartment below Kim's works better, and there's even a character who is waiting on his pension as he works the stakeout. Guess if he lives, and if he doesn't, guess who kills him. Everyone is good, but the story just isn't all that fantastic.

Bill T (fr) wrote: When one approaches a 1940's title like 'Affair In Trinidad', you'll be hard pressed to figure that it's some sort of musical with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, or some madcap Marx Brothers comedy, not a hard edged murder mystery, yet that's what this badly titled movie is. Not that there's nothing wrong with the movie, I liked it. It's just the title is sort of curious. Rita Hayworth is a.. uh.. entertainer in very sleazy club (check out the people "returning" downstairs (cough) and keeps the people entertained by singing and dancing very suggestively to a song called "Trinidad Lady". Actually, she's SMOKING (as in hot!) in this scene, her dress and dancing are amazing. But soon, the police arrive on the scene, her husband has committed suicide, and they want to find out the reasons leading to his death. Glenn Ford, playing as steely jawed as Glenn Ford can, who plays his brother, wants to know too! From there, it's a whirlwind of deception, romance and thrills (well, not really), that is not really suspenseful, because we find out early on who did it, we just have to find out why (and that reason is a silly post-war hokum). Oh well, Hayworth IS pretty to look at, and Glenn Ford is great as usual, so the combination of the two is sorta fun to watc

Kevin G (au) wrote: This was an odd one for me. Great trailer for the film but ultimately the rest of it really disappointed me. Decent slow-burn quality and cinematography get lost in the story with very poor explanation. There are many questions left out on a ledge at the end of the film and in other cases that might be a positive thing. Not here unfortunately.

Ben T (au) wrote: Cabaret is a weird movie. It's a movie about Burlesque dancing, love and the rise of the Nazis. This is a film that has quite a lot of good in it but it's no masterpiece. The acting is really good. Liza Minelli and Michael York are both brilliant. The rest of the acting is really good, it's the best part of the movie. The direction is rather good, the dancing scenes are all really good. The editing and cinematography is really good. The scene where the man is beaten in the street, intercut with a dancing scene is fantastically edited. Unfortunately I have quite a few problems. Liza Minelli while she did give a really good performance her character was so unlikeable, she was really rude and just didn't shut up, she also SPOILER ALERT gets pregnant and it's unsure wether her boyfriend got her pregnant or if it was a one night stand, that just annoys me as she is very unfaithful and just down right annoying. The main two male leads however were really good and made the scenes with Liza bearable. This film unfortunately is actually quite boring. There's this big portion to do with love that is just so dull and uninteresting. There's also this really creepy man who is part of the dancing who looks like pee wee Herman that is so creepy. However all the nazi stuff is handled brilliantly. There's one fantastic scene to do with a Hitler Youth singing that is just brilliant Overall this is a decent film with fantastic aspects about it. See it if you want but in my opinion it is no masterpiece. B
