Tija F (mx) wrote: so fabulously disgustingly terrible, it is unbelievable. this movie advertises itself as a 'sexy-scary-monster' movie, yet it is absolutely none of those things. just bad. bad acting, bad writing, bad cinematography, bad directing, bad, bad, bad...

Daniel N (de) wrote: A very good John Wayne movie.

Adam U (ca) wrote: actually this was weak for being one of the 8 movies to die for. it had me confused for over half the movie

Jason F (gb) wrote: A disaster in almost every single way! From the first frame inside the ship the plot already has more holes in it than Bonnie and Clyde at a Swiss cheese factory. You can really tell they put next to no thought into this. From killing off Bishop, Hicks, and even Newt for God's sake, to having completely unlikable characters who are just cannon fodder in the worst way, to an ending that would depress any fan of the first 2 films. What keeps this film from going any lower however is the fact that it was David Fincher's very first film and he was given very little to work with because "Aliens" didn't hint at having a sequel in any way. That, and the dog-xenomorph hybrid was an interesting concept. At least Fincher made a miraculous comeback with "Fight Club". The "Alien" series on the other hand did not.

Marcus W (mx) wrote: just watched this movie!! loved it, even though it was very emotional and i got teary eyed several times it was very inspirational and now I wanna swim again!!

Thomas P (kr) wrote: Sophisticated, Intelligent script builds mystery and suspense well & makes ecological implications about urban decay - nothing new here, but very well played. The sparse dialogue and the low-key interactions may prevent connection to the characters. The horror and the mystery elements create the interest. Overall, it's a solid effort, and worth a look.
