(fr) wrote: Panic Room is a fun, inconsequential film with a couple of good performances, and an immaculate, somewhat sterile vision from David Fincher. Starring Jodi Foster before she kinda dropped off the map, and Kristin Stewart (in the only role where she is actually supposed to play a girl who appears to be in a constant and ever worsening state of diabetic shock). Like The Game, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Fincher's Panic Room falls into the category of slightly "above average" and almost completely forgettable. This isn't to say that the film is not a good time while you're watching it, just don't expect to pass any pop quizzes on the plot of the film a day after viewing it.

Her life takes its first detour when she gets pregnant at age sixteen. The baby's father, her husband (Steve Zahn), turns out to need more mothering than her newborn son. But through all the trouble, Beverly makes a life that's more than she ever imagined and lives a story that's waiting to be told.also stars Brittany Murphy, Adam Garcia, Lorraine Bracco, Sara Gilbert, Desmond Harrington and David Moscow.directed by Penny Marshall.

(it) wrote: A real disappointment. At first I thought it would be funny corny, with the bad guy shooting the one islander 4 times. Hilarious, lots of corny stuff at first. Even Mecha-Kong looks cool. And the first battle is good, Gorgosaurus is ridiculous. But the rest of the film is lamer, nothing new happens and the fight scenes are weak. If you like these kinds of films just watch the beginning.
