Jiana W (jp) wrote: Probably like the worst romantic comedy I think I've ever seen. I thought "The Ugly Truth" was awful and couldn't be beaten. I was dead-wrong. Extremely unfunny. I chuckled maybe once or twice. It's an hour and a half, standard length, but it felt a hell of a lot longer. Nobody is very likeable here. Scott, the hero, isn't supposed to be agitating but he is. Perhaps its because Brandon Routh offers no good, charismatic onscreen persona. He's just there, reciting lines like he belongs in a high school play. Sophia Bush and Jesse Bradford are sickeningly obnoxious throughout as codependent couple/roommates, Ryan and Mary. The only somewhat good thing these characters ever did was throw Scott a birthday party. At which point, by the way, Scott is revealed to be an ass too. This movie is just a mess. It's incredibly grating and I hated everybody in it.

Must admit that I like Ryan Phillippe in this one though. These two films both have depths but Letters from Iwo Jima obviously wins.

Blane S (ru) wrote: I was really hoping for an "atomic twister". You know, like a tornado that has nuclear capabilities. Didn't work out that way. The acting was pretty terrible, especially Sharon Lawrence. She's awful and should stick to Lifetime movies. Mark-Paul is still my favorite Zack Morris macdaddy.

Sebastian F (jp) wrote: This film is hilarious :D so under-rated, would defo recommend !

Rick H (us) wrote: Vieux ! Mais toujours excellent!

(it) wrote: It was decently funny and was a decent way to use time travel, but was too high in sex and drinking, but still good.

Thomas B (ru) wrote: Grade - D+A rather poor entry from the Coen's here. It looks great, and has some good performances, but other than that the movie feels like a flat, boring, one note song that I'd rather not listen to again.
