DanDan N (gb) wrote: Oh my god this movie was painful to watch. Not even in the good, emotionally evocative way. Everything was over dramatised, the characters were incredibily bland and under developed, yet unappealing and annoying at the same time. Especially Dominik, who seems to be constantly undressed and either crying or screaming. Try two hours of that.. The parents are just plain pathetic. The ending was predictable and over all it was aesthetically dull. This movie tried so hard to distinguish itself from mainstream but anyone can sense its desperation to do so. Prepare to be severely depressed for a good few hours afterwards.

Michael L (kr) wrote: Mostly good but a bit too much time spent on telling us again and again how important Gertrude Berg was and not enough on filling in details. For example, how did Gertrude Berg balance work and family? And how come her radio show disappeared in 1945, several years before she entered television?

Chris W (ca) wrote: i thought the movie was eye opening to how thoughtless and mean people can be. after seeing how these critics act (and pretty much the people they are) i now understand why i like movies that are "under rated". and by the way, my family loved the son of mask. it was a good family movie, critics dont think about the group a comedian or movie is reaching out to, they just sit in their pitiful, sexless, and annoyed life, angry because nobody makes movies for them and their sad life.

Buggy B (it) wrote: Okay, so now I get what all the fuss is about over Channing Tatum. Holy yum! He is perfect for this role in a predictable, fairly dumb, yet utterly addictive movie. The dance sequences (and music) is really good, watching Channing move in those loose fitting jeans is all kinds of good. The romance and storyline sucked me in. Enjoyed this way more than I expected too. 03.13"Tyler Gage receives the opportunity of a lifetime after vandalizing a performing arts school, gaining him the chance to earn a scholarship and dance with an up and coming dancer, Nora."

Lisa W (ca) wrote: Love this movie. Simple, raw and real...four great actors are what really pull this film together. One of my most quoted lines from this movie is, "Only one of us gets be crazy at a time."

Jonny P (kr) wrote: "Crocodile Dundee" is an iconic 80's film that isn't anything special but still manages to be irresistible to every audience. I think it is the fact that Paul Hogan's titular character is so cool that you can't help but like him. His outback grit is perfectly contrasted by his big city navety, and he never does anything that would give us reason dislike him. Films like "George of the Jungle" and "Jungle 2 Jungle" have mimicked this concept with good-hearted, nave natives, but the rough edges of Mick Dundee help him to be realistic in an uncomfortable situation instead of comically clueless. The setting also sets this film apart from most other films, exploring the tribes and creatures of the Outback and then transporting a piece of the Outback into our own backyard. The film definitely has some cheesy 80's moments, but Hogan's chemistry with Linda Kozlowski, funny interactions with girls on the "corner," and the great one-liner below make this a classic.
