Yash B (br) wrote: Its a good hearted movie, despite being very over dramatic at times. The film has a lot of strong messages which I appreciated. Despite its repetitive nature it isn't a boring movie and its a joy to see this character grow. I do think that the main character has much less self control than the average person and it becomes an easy way for the conflict to develop. There are minor plot inconsistencies and the movie starts to get slower at times since multiple scenes show similar things happening, but ultimately its an enjoyable movie that also has great themes for everyone.

Peepee H (de) wrote: Will Ferris in the holiday hit blockbuster "Elf" is sure to be a holiday hit that the whole family can love. When he starts his journey, he becomes a man, and the tale follows as he warms the heart of even the worst businessman. Personally , my favorite part was when he has the girlsfriend who becomes his lover. I didn't really understand what happened at the end. This was a great movie.

Dr F P (kr) wrote: Noel is just plain crazy! SERIOUSLY! It says it's a comedy and yet it wasn't funny, in fact it seemed like it was playing it straight. The only hilarious part is how ludicrous the whole story is, and you can't tell me THAT'S THE POINT! Despite it all though, i found it strangely engrossing in its sentiment, and it just so happens that i'm in a rare Christmas-y mood at the moment. I wouldn't have given this a second look though if it had not been for the wonderfully warm Susan Sarandon. So yes, i enjoyed this, it's just one of those movies, but equally so, it's completely bonkers.

Dave M (ag) wrote: Weird, funny, delightful, mostly weird. A completely campy kid's film with a surprisingly well-envisioned Martian army. With an open mind and a child's heart, easy enjoyable.

Eric R (it) wrote: Bunny Lake is Missing tells the story of Ann Lake, an american woman whom has relocated to England. Ann takes her child, Bunny, to school in England but when she returns, her daughter is nowhere to be found. When an investigator from Scotland yard, played by Lawrence Olivier, is brought in to investigate, he starts to wonder if Bunny even existed, or if this bunny is a figment of Ann's imagination. Bunny Lake is Missing is an interesting thriller, that was definitely relatively groundbreaking for the time. It's really a study of maternity and insanity. Carol Lynley does a great job as the terrified mother; she really captures motherly nature of the situation while still oozing with odd emotions with makes the viewer at times question whether she is truly insane. The story also does a good job at this, it never gives us a strong indication of whether young bunny is real or not, keeping me rather engaged til the finale. Otto Preminger direction really carries the film, with some moody lighting and tracking shots which do a lot for the story visually.
