Think platforms, clown collars, grainy hues and gratuitous nunchucks, with knowingly bad direction to boot. The film's self-conscious stupidity is cleverly handled, and initially very funny, particularly in terms of dialogue. However, it won't take viewers long to see that Black Dynamite is a one trick pony of a movie: a catalogue of comic excesses and meaningless cliches, ultimately poking fun at a long-forgotten genre.Dynamite is simply too aimless and too repetitive to hold your attention. It clocks in at just 84 minutes, yet somehow, it feels as if it rhymes its way round in circles for a lifetime. Can you dig it? I couldn't.

Sean S (us) wrote: An embarrassing plot, and a lame excuse for a film, let alone an entry into the Amityville franchise. The CG effects are pathetic and would have required all of five minutes in Flash to make, and the "acting" is utterly terrible. The plot is ridiculously predictable, the dialogue is stilted and poorly delivered and the climax entirely laughable. Avoid at all costs, even if you're an Amityville fan--the connection is all but nonexistent.
