(ru) wrote: 4/5 Stars. A good deal better than Iron Man 2. Probably the best of the 3 films. I liked the twists and Guy Pearce was a strong villain. Robert Downey Jr. and That Guy From Hotel Rwanda team up to beat bad guys, basically. I particularly liked how they did The Mandarin and the almost fourth-wall trolling. There were some typical Hollywood moments that were obviously going to go one way, but the movie was more satisfying than I was expecting. The treatment of PTSD as well was ok, but stereotypical and brief. Overall, a strong addition to the series.

(br) wrote: ** (out of four) This is one of those films where if you buy the unbelievable set-up of the film, you may enjoy it. But, to me the plot of this movie is so far-fetched that it ruins the nice production value. Jodie Foster is woman whose husband (Richard Gere) is killed in the Civil War. He returns, looking different, two years later. She is not sure if it is him.

(fr) wrote: Fleeing a bloody payroll heist, three criminals abduct two adults and an unconscious, possibly dying child. Basically a five character hostage drama set almost entirely inisde a cramped car, strong characterizations make this involving despite plot holes and a too-obvious twist ending. Beware the inferior re-edited, re-dubbed version entitled KIDNAPPED.

(nl) wrote: MANNY LEWIS was a delightful surprise! Manny is played by Carl Barron (who also cowrote the screenplay) who is an Australian comedian. Barron plays Manny with charming understatement. Manny's love interest is played by Leeanna Walsman (Star Wars Episode 2) who is gentle and subtle and together, they have a genuine chemistry on screen. This movie is funny and sad at the same time. It's great to see a romantic comedy drama with people who are not beautiful (in the celebrity sense - sorry, Manny and Maria!). Apart from a somewhat cheesy ending, MANNY LEWIS has true depth with some great situational/observational comedy - much like Barron's stage comedy for which he is famous. Thoroughly enjoyable.
