Kasia M (jp) wrote: I think that I still prefer to watch POTC or Dr. Quinn tv series than that... It was bad, and it was so bad and so fake and so dramatic that it made me almost vomit. Acting was poor, plot was poor, Blackbeard was hilariously evil and the main protagonist hilariously good... the main female character was ugly, but with a golden heart and wanted to be a doctor... c'mon... even as for a tv-production it just sucked big time!

Although the CGI was somewhat "out-dated," almost every other aspect of this film definitely compensates for it. Many, many, many Wonderfully, and artistically performed shots have you hanging on the edge of your seat, waiting for the beautiful climax. This film, having amazing jump-scenes, show what our not very distant future may have in store...

One of four sisters who grew up in the rural part of DR, Salma is a woman ahead of her time-someone who isn't afraid to stand up to the dictator that killed her father even if it means going to a law school where she is the only woman, or if she has to run with a band of revolutionaries leaving her children behind in order to make the country a place where they can grow up safely and realize their dreams.....

No forensics, mobiles, computers (as we know them), but plenty of noble savages - the Indians, wolves cleaning up after the white man, corporate greed, and the decay of New York, as it was in the late 70s and very early 80s.
