(mx) wrote: Irwin Allen directed sequel to his original hit film about a giant cruise liner that's turned upside down. Following the first film, a group of fortune hunters, led by Michael Caine, returns to the wreck to scavenge valuables. They unexpectedly find survivors on the ship and also find themselves trapped inside along with dangerous arms dealer Telly Savalas. It's all very silly, but there is a good cast (Caine, Savalas, Sally Field, Peter Boyle, Jack Warden, Shirley Knight, Shirley Jones, Karl Malden, Slim Pickens, Angela Cartwright, Mark Harmon) which gives the film a certain amount of campy goodwill, even if it is really just a terrible movie.
