I'm from a Tibetan-Buddhist family, and this movie, shot in its original language, has captured the true essence of the intertwined religion and life on the Himalaya. If you're interested in the religious aspects of Himalaya, watch this movie instead of other Hollywood-influenced ones like "Little Buddha" or "Seven Years in Tibet" because they are slightly altered towards Western audiences. Many criticized that this movie is so inexperienced, but it's teh simplicity of the faith that holds the Tibetan culture together for so many years. Definitely recommended.
