Craig W (fr) wrote: Great western. Good drama and gunfight combo. Superbly acted.

Harry W (nl) wrote: Zombie is one of the most innovative, exciting and provocative horror filmmakers in the industry today and House of 1000 Corpses is not meant to be thoughtful or genius in any way, it is meant to be the kind of film that is taken with a pinch of salt, a blood-soaked, southern fried homage to everything that inspires Zombie as an artist. The film features a sadistic serial killing family and reads of their exploits during a rainy halloween night as they unleash pure villainy against an annoying troupe of american teens. The things that happen get more and more fucked up as the film progresses and its really quite a ride. The acting is corny as hell, even from horror veteran Karen Black and to be honest I'm not sure if the bad acting is intended or not, but it bodes well with the cheesy parts of the script and low budget sets. It's a good film definitely.

Adam R (it) wrote: I didn't think too much of this movie, and actually found it to be the worst of the trilogy. The musical score is good, but gets repetitive after awhile. It is too long and didn't need to be. Many of the scenes could have been cut while preserving the story. There is too much of nothing going on. Though it is well-shot, it is also boring and overrated. (First and only full viewing - 3/26/2009)

Matthew Francis L (br) wrote: If you're not in to the usual grim reality of a Ken Loach movie, don't let that put you off seeing the Angels' share. This is such a funny and uplifting movie.

Jerome K (ag) wrote: Some energetic action and visuals paired with laughably bad dialogue and acting. Simplistic enough that at least kids may enjoy it.
