Ethan P (jp) wrote: Million Dollar Baby is a lot of things. It's riveting, emotionally powerful, heartfelt and devastating at the end, but it's also schmaltzy and somewhat cliched. There are awkward exchanges and cliche lines, but the film's awkward points are overshadowed by the heart the movie has. We want Maggie to win and although it's a little unbelievable this girl could knock out so many contenders as if it was a comic book, when she's in the title fight against the woman who eventually takes her life from her, you want to be in there with. You want to step up into the ring and protect her. The film's second half is somber and devastating, but powerful. It ends a very sad film, but for a film about boxing, Million Dollar Baby has a knock-out ending. Overall a flawed, but ultimately very good movie.
Ricky G (au) wrote: Mean Creek is a movie about how undeniably cruel young people can be. The cast is really good here especially the girl who plays Millie. Josh Peck also does surprisingly good. The movie is a slow burner but when I gets going the movie is really intense I can't really say much about this movie without spoiling it all can say is Josh Peck is a bully and the boy he bullies (Rory Colkin) hatches a plan to execute revenge on him in a river the dialogue is good stories really good but like I said in the movie is about how cruel the youth can be if it's gritty and dark definitely watchable.

Scottie T (au) wrote: One Hour Photo! One Hour Photo was one of the best movies i have seen in my life. EASILY top 5 favourites. So One Hour Photo is a A lonley man named Sy Parrish. Sy is a photo developer at the local Sav-Mart in town and he loves his job, he is perfect at it. He is also obsessed with a family that brings their film to be developed at Sav-Mart by Sy. Robin Williams captured Sy's character and became him and it blew me away. His character was so creepy, yet so innocent and seemed harmless. He had some things done to him earlier in life that he had no control over and he is obviously traumatized by them and he didn't have a very good child hood because of it and he never wants another child to have a bad child hood because he knows how it feels. i dont want to go to much into his character or else i'll feel like will ruin the movie for you. The direction is superb, the script is excellent, the screenplay is original and haven't seen a movie like this in a while. last but not least the cinematography is breathtaking and i really respected it, it was some really good camera work. the ending was amazing and it left me with my jaw dropped and astounded by how well it worked and that it was pulled off perfectly. i can't talk about this movie much more without spoiling anything but i highly reccomend you watch this as soon as you can. The next time you feel bad for someone, i want you to think of them, and hope they feel better. Thank you One Hour Photo for being the masterpeice that you are.

Donald D (gb) wrote: It's very stylized, but in a clever and fun way. I am a bit shocked by the low ratings for this film, especially given its clever commentary and timing, too. Like any strange film, many people turn away. Tim Burton is especially known for this on his earlier filmmaking (less so later on). It isn't perfect, but it is smart and a lot of fun.
