(mx) wrote: Well made docu-drama that splices interview segments of people who had connections with Dahmer (the neighbor, the detective, the forensic officer) with recreations of what life must have been like for Dahmer. The recreations are ok but mostly mundane (no bloodletting here gorehounds) but the interviews do contain grisly details that would make this film not for kiddies (which is what you expect from a film called "The Jeffrey Dahmer Files"). Well worth seeking out for the curious. Talks about Dahmers impact on the Milwaukee community at large making it another victim of the killings. Interesting, fast paced, and mostly compelling.

(us) wrote: Quirky, coming-of-age psychodrama that follows Ellis, a young man who elects to move from his New Age hippie mom and "Goat Man", his friend and mentor, to go to prep school on the East Coast. While at prep school he begins to become awakened to aspects of his life that are uncomfortable and unfamiliar when he is reunited with his estranged father (who was vilified and chided by his Ellis' mother throughout his childhood). It is very simply a movie about a small part of a young man's journey and the stark realizations he has to come to terms with along the way. Worth checking it out on Netflix and def worth the Redbox rental if you don't have a streaming service :)
(fr) wrote: It is an all right movie. Not the best kind of robbing movie but Val Kilmer did a pretty good job and it has a great story. Maybe a bit more action.

(jp) wrote: Nancy is back in this one and she will help some teenagers stop Freddy who has been tormenting them in their dreams. The characters work well together and the movie has some really cool effects for its time. There is no dull moment in this one...even the ending has a surprise (I won't spoil it). I would rate it 7/10 OR 3.5/5
(nl) wrote: Long before real-world school shootings (always, it seems, of bullies by the bullied...hmmmmmm), there was this spectacularly awful cautionary tale. So bad it's good, so lousy it's wonderful, so thoroughly without film merits it's mesmerizing...still, it should be required viewing for High School Jocks. ;-)

(kr) wrote: Start by assuming it's going to be about the most preposterous plot you'll see in a yeAr, or two or three. Then sit back and enjoy the ride, it's actually quite exciting. And no matter how freaked out you are by Ed Harris' head, Genesis Rodriguez's gratuitous cleavage appearances will keep things in perspective and get you through any boring bits.
(nl) wrote: Such a simple and beautiful movie. Bruce Dern and Will Forte really bring these unique character's to life. Bob Odenkirk is really good as well. It's a funny and heart warming character drama. Alexander Payne does a great job with the script. The cinematography and score are both great. My only complaint is it is a little slow, but you should definitely give it a watch.
