Amy H (it) wrote: From the opening scene to the last this movie clearly defines the need for assisted suicide in this country. A compelling case indeed to allow those afflicted with terminal illness the right to die with dignity. Thank you, Oregon. May Nevada follow your lead!

Matthew M (au) wrote: This movie has a pretty great cast and dosent fail to deliver. Best part of the movie is hands down Tom Cruises character.

David Ray G (mx) wrote: Ah...Chance Marquis, where were you when I was high school?I really enjoyed this film, despite the anachronisms and the inaccuracy concerning many elements in it. It was fun, light, sexy and got its message across. Not a good film by any means, but it's easily watchable and for those interested in gay-themed movies, it's almost a must-see. I had a great time watching it, wouldn't mind a second viewing.

Clement L (kr) wrote: A refreshing movie, yet, I thought there's more, still, it's another Japanese/Taiwanese movie about chances. It's well directed though!

Bradley W (us) wrote: Despite the incredulous exceptionalism of the Wayne family's philanthropic exploits, Batmans Begins remains uncontested as the best superhero origins film ever.

Bob V (es) wrote: remake of sixties gore film Two Thousand Maniacs, which works surprisingly well. Updating its cast to reflect modern society (basically adding African Americans & homosexuals) , but keeping in the senseless, vomit-inducing gore, while putting more focus on the dark comedy & better acting (though in some cases, not by much), makes this film much like the original: not a good film, but a good piece of trash. At any rate it was popular enough to spawn several sequels.

Alan D (au) wrote: The most delightful scene in this otherwise devastating pastiche, aside from that gorgeous Chavela Vargas performance and the mother's poem, is the one where Leo's publisher goes off on a rant and perfectly describes the plot to "Volver" (which could even be seen as a sequel to this and which would come to reference so many other Almodovar films so perfectly).

Matt M (es) wrote: A business man reincarnates as a puppy dog and soon enough starts longing for affection, especially from his former wife and child. Unusual, sometimes touching and other times just plain strange, but admirably never patronising like so many of the same kind.

Jacob M (br) wrote: A 2/5 for Sex, Lies, and Videotape?! What?! I know what you're thinking, and it is a fine directorial debut, but its just not my cup of tea.

Luke B (it) wrote: What an absolutely stunning film. Naruse shows he is an expert of restraint much similar to his characters. Whereas many other filmmakers would have leapt on teh chance to turn this story of marriage into some sort of sordid thriller Naruse tells it like it is. Setsuko Hara plays the wife who feels distant and suspicious of her husband but perhaps it is just boredom. Despite the inapproriate comments of his neice Hatsunosuke is nothing but faithful, he barely takes an interest in other women, though he is also distant and lacks passion towards his wife. It's a gentle but uncomfortably confrontaional tale of married life and how something meant to produce so much happiness can also feel like a prison.

Darren P (de) wrote: It's not punishment if you have to see it, but if you find a buried treasure map to it's secret location - i wouldn't dig it out.

Bradley W (nl) wrote: As an aspiring guitarist and an all round lover of music and movies possessing soul, this movie was amazing! The characters were all great for their roles and the songs that this movie gave light to was astounding...also great to see things from a completely different perspective.
