(ru) wrote: above average DTV thriller with the ever charming Mr Zane... worth a watch (my down loaded copy had crap sound though!).
(es) wrote: Totally meaningless and pointless movie. Calling it pretentious would be a compliment, and this seems to have no pretensions at anything - it has no style (nor substance). Plot is random, at best, and just drifts from one incomprehensible scene to another. Performances mostly seem to consist of making dull, uninterested faces.Avoid like the plague.
(jp) wrote: Maybe it doesn't have the stellar creepiness as its predecessor, but the scenes are faster paced for today's ADD audiences and I felt it was slightly an improvement.
(jp) wrote: As a film lover...this movie humbles me greatly. This movie made me realize I am not even close to be a true movie fan. I can watch this documentary over and over. These characters couldn't be written if you TRIED. I just love their honesty and how they weren't afraid that they would be made into "weirdos" for being so passionate about movies. It's probally the only documentary I would ever hope there was a sequal to. I think everyone should watch it, even if they don't give a crap about film.

(ru) wrote: Hail to the King. John Goodman takes England by storm in King Ralph. A Las Vegas lounge singer turns out to be the last heir to the Throne of England, and must rise to the occasion when the Monarchy is wiped out in a freak accident. Goodman gives a good performance for the most part, but it's not that demanding of a role. The film's really a standard fish-out-of-water comedy with an average Joe trying to make it in high society. While it's formulaic and is full of bad stereotypes, King Ralph is kind of fun (for what it is).
(br) wrote: Based in Colin MacInnes' novel about London life in 1957, when post-war austerity was shifting towards multiculuralism and youth culture. However, the film has little of the original's downbeat cool. Instead, it is a brash and breathless revival of the teen musical - Summer Holiday meets MTV. Much-hyped, it was widely panned on its release. But although meandering and patchy, it is visually stunning with a great soundtrack - cameos from Bowie, Sade, Ray Davies, Paul Weller and Slim Gaillard showcase the continuing vibrancy of British pop culture.
(es) wrote: B-movie rarity with a creatively convoluted plot (two couples vacationing together in an R.V. from Texas to Colorado are terrorized after they witness a murder during a Satanic ritual) that delivers solid thrills. The casting is sensational across the board, with every character perfectly realized, Peter Fonda, Warren Oates, Loretta Swit.
(us) wrote: One of the most gloriously bad movies. You could make a better movie over a weekend with $500, but it wouldn't be nearly as entertaining as Dolemite.
(au) wrote: Thou Peter Ustinov is my all time favorite Hercule Poirot this film was the worst of the series. Character of Poirot was not yet developed and obviously written for the much inferior Albert Finney. Thou everyone gives a great performances, the script is a little uptight and the writer got nothing by shortening the book and removing two characters except a very misguided film. It is so sad to think of what could have it been.
