reat acting, great action and a "holy crap" final action scene :). Alright, how about a very decent Mafia-type movie where a cop goes and decides that he should just fix everything by shooting all the major groups

tage version is 100% better. Lacks substance, songs are good, pace is too fast, and acting is eh

It's also pretty funny, and astute, if simple. The film has this pervading sweetness saturating every scene, and that goes a long way to maintain consistency and likability. However, everything else is very good. And it also has small moments where it needs to scream at you that you're watching an indie film, just in case you forgot. I realize how subjective and unfair that is, but it's simply impossible to get past for me. It has an extremely annoying main actress. Paper Heart suffers from few things

If you watch this film expecting to see a sports film about rugby, you??ll be disappointed, but if you want to see a film with great acting and a deep story, this is that film. There are a lot of tough moments throughout and the final scenes with the two leads are pretty intense. I??m surprised that the Academy nominated both Harris and Roberts for this film, if this came out today I couldn??t see either role getting awards attention. It??s a realistic portrait of a character??s struggle with success and his loneliness. Very powerful performance from Richard Harris playing a rugby star who tries to have a relationship with his widowed landlady Rachel Roberts

John Hurt and Uma Thurman are both great and the story is very unconventional yet easy to follow. I knew nothing about this film before renting it and I was gladly surprised. I don't understand why people don't like it more

rected by Nick Hurran. But as this unlikely pair faces everything from control issues (Ray's, of course) to tempter tantrums (Molly's, of course), they discover that sometimes, your best friend can come from the place you least expect! also stars Holly Hunter, Kathy Bates, Ron Livingston, Julianne Nicholson, Stephen Tomblowsky, Kevin Sussman and Rashida Jones. Only Ray's way-too-busy mom (Heather Locklear) could think that hiring Molly would be the perfect setup for both girls. Ray (Dakota Fanning) is a fussy nine-year-old whose last nanny just ran out. Molly (Brittany Murphy) is a partying rock 'n' roll princess whose money just ran out

One of my favorites. So profound and brutally simple at once, this is the sort of documentary I could watch a dozen times and draw a new, clear meaning from every time, despite the fact that there's never really much of anything going on. There isn't a single shot in this film that I couldn't stare at and muse over for hours. Minimalist documentary style perfected

It takes a little getting used to because of the juxtapostion of the themes but it a fairly unique piece of cinema. Excellent offbeat British film in an alternative 'noir' style
