I was never fully caught up with the spirit of the movie because I never quite figured out the structure of both the events in the movie and its cinematography. It made for some interesting viewing though, and to anyone who doesn't get lost by Anderson's style there is an entertaining, heartwarming story to experience.

Although the film doesn't consist of any clues, it does rely on many close ups and bizarre camera directions which does keep the story intriging! 3 out of 4

(mx) wrote: A great cast in nontypical roles, excellent production values, tongue-in-cheek satire, excellent but not overdone effects that hold up just fine, a genuinely clever, interesting, and downright funny plot - I can't fault a thing. Well, except that overly-badly-acted intro scene meant to introduce the 'show'. Unforgettable scene that never fails to make me laugh - Signourney Weaver's hysterics at having to dodge through the 'choppers' that exist in the real ship only by virtue of having been written into an episode of the show ... "whoever wrote this episode should die!". I die laughing.
