In fact the only reason I saw it at all was because of a recommendation I got online when I posed the question "Where there any good movies in 2011"?I didn't love Grave Encounters. But I am, to my surprise, super glad that I watched it. If more Found Footage Horror films were like this one, maybe I wouldn't detest the genre. Seriously, although I had a number of problems with the movie, I'd still put this one up closer to The Last Exorcism and The Blair Witch Project than I would to the usual dreck the genre offers.

Christopher S (it) wrote: Early film from director Jean Cocteau is a dull and pretentious surrealist film - there is some inventive imagery and some interesting camera tricks, but it's painfully slow, with lingering shots that drag on and on while annoying cartoonish music drones. Maybe I'm just didn't get it, but this is a chore to sit through.
Kyle B (ca) wrote: It's a nice mystery with a great ensemble of movie stars with stand outs from Lauren Bacall, Anthony Perkins, and Sean Connery. Finney is great and his Oscar nomination was worthy but the win for Ingrid Bergman was a head scratcher. Sidney Lumet does a nice job directing this but it is definitely lower in his catalog of masterpieces. Excellent score, production design, and costumes.

Blake B (br) wrote: We Are Still Here is a nostalgic, brutal, inventive film that is reminiscent of the solid 80s horror generation. Amazing acting from all involved, beautiful cinematography, and wonderfully refreshing practical effects. The film has a fantastically original story that is perplexing as it is interesting. A modern horror classic that is for any fan of some top-notch, gory fun.
