Brian C (br) wrote: What a great little indie flick from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada....my home town. The hilarious adventure follows two guys trying to get money for a local drug lord/curling player. So many great moments, but always with a serious subtle theme... Filmed at Hamilton's Centre Mall (which is currently being torn down) and other places in the area, this movie is great. Fast, witty script, great characers, and a lot of light fun. Everyone should see this! The mall midget security guard fight scene was awesome.
Jose O (br) wrote: The best Latin dark-comedy I've ever seen. One of the most unpredictable and intricate plots in Latin cinema. I have to admit that it takes a little while for the story to take off, but when it does it takes you on a rollercoaster ride you will not forget. I loved the fact that several characters come from various Spanish speaking nationalities because that added a lot to the appeal and humor of the movie. The title of the movie is very closely related to many conversations about smoking you witness all through the movie. But those are mere pieces to a fun puzzle you see complete at the very, very end. I also loved the fact that Diego Luna's character keeps trying to light his cigarrette without success throughout the entire movie. And when he finally lights it, he does not get to smoke it. A non-Spanish speaking friend of mine was reading a book in the same room I was watching this movie. The movie caught her attention nonetheless, and she forgot about the book. That says a lot about how powerful this movie is. PS: this movie is rated R.

Harlan H (us) wrote: This movie is so random that netflix has never even heard of it. But I was being nostalgic today and I thought back to this film from when I was a kid. I loved it as a child but I cant honestly say how good it is because I barely remember it. So now Im going to make it a goal to find this on dvd one day. But from what I remember it was a lot of cheesy fun.

Sam A (de) wrote: The Exterminating Angel serves as a very clever and interesting satire on the upper class members of society. Bunuel makes a bold and dark statement through this film and it makes for engaging viewing.
