William the Conqueror

William the Conqueror

William's government blended elements of the English and Norman systems into a new one that laid the foundations of the later medieval English kingdom. How abrupt and far-reaching the changes were is still a matter of debate among historians, with some such as Richard Southern claiming that the Conquest was the single most radical change in European history between the Fall of Rome and the 20th century.

Graham T (fr) wrote: Saw this on a recent Air France flight. Really loved it. It was funny, touching and it had lots of heart.

David L (fr) wrote: it pays homage to France's raunchiest prince of pop --but behind the narcissism, self-indulgent behavior, and litrally the smokes and a swarm of adulating lovers is a talented soul who spent his life fighting to be more than just ordinary, to break out of the Juif mode. Eric Elmosnin has an uncanny resemblance to Gainsbourg and its really quite admirably done. Gainsbarre

Matt B (ru) wrote: I always finish a movie no matter how egregious it may be. My Super Ex-Girlfriend was one of the toughest sit-throughs of my life. I still can't believe I made it through without killing myself.

Pampalini L (br) wrote: I did a lot of jobs in Germany. More than were really good for me. Too many really. I get so bloody tired now...

Kevin (ag) wrote: So I finally got Flixster to add this movie, the American title is Negotiator. This was a very simple but good movie from Takashi Miike, nothing like the movies many expect from him. Hard to use the word "normal" describing one of his films, but it is. But it also shows the diverse movies he can do, so if you want to see another side of Miike, I recommend at least watching it once.

Russell H (au) wrote: This wasn't bad. Pretty intense. Good acting.

Jamie S (kr) wrote: Stereotypical movie with flat characters...don't waste your time

Aj V (de) wrote: I loved this movie when I saw it on TV a few years ago, but then I saw similar movies that were way better than this one. Well, at least this one has an awesome performance from Drew Barrymore. It's like a teenage version of a Bonnie and Clyde type story. I'd like to watch it again sometime.

Daryl H (ru) wrote: Out the same year as A Christmas Story. Comparing the two, you can see how difficult it is to get kids that can act. The cast of A Christmas Story shines while this movie suffers from some bad kid acting but Jonathan Pryce is awesome chewing up the scenery.

Jason S (ca) wrote: Janet McTeer is the best thing about this film who has a plot that has been done to death! Her Mary Poppins like assassIn leaves you wanting her character in a film of its own.

Jerrod O (jp) wrote: Not bad. Not epic either.

Brad P (gb) wrote: I don't like those type of movie.
