New York City is subsumed in arctic winds, dark nights, and white lights, its life unfolds, for it is an extraordinary hive of the imagination, the greatest house ever built, and nothing exists that can check its vitality. One night in winter, Peter Lake (Colin Farrell), orphan and master-mechanic, attempts to rob a fortress-like mansion on the Upper West Side. Though he thinks the house is empty, the daughter of the house is home. Thus begins the love between Peter, an Irish burglar in his early 20's, and Beverly Penn (Jessica Brown Findlay), a young girl, who is dying. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Felix G (fr) wrote: A failed attempt at an Agatha Christie-like murder mystery, with a group people isolated on an island being bumped off one by one. There are some nice touches here and there, but the film drags for the first two thirds, and just when it starts getting interesting, a series of increasingly ridiculous twists spoil it.

Brian S (jp) wrote: a pretty bland, generic Western. stock characters with very little development, an uninspiring love story, a rather vague soldier/Indian conflict, very few action sequences, and an overall weak plot. it did get a bit more interesting in the last 20 minutes or so, but not substantially. there are all these minor stories going on with no real focus or overriding point--ended up being pretty dull. definitely the weakest of Ford's cavalry trilogy.
Pablo G (us) wrote: Maybe if they didnt pay so much attention to the sci-fi part of the story, or if it werent such an interesting addition, one would care more about the main drama, one that is pretty basic and at the end pretty pointless and unsatisfying. The movie is however fairly interesting and is told with plenty of modern style and dramatic moments that keep the viewer interested, at least, in the main characters feelings and objectives.

007 W (br) wrote: Guardians of the galaxy is a really good movie, it's the movie that doesn't follow that predictable formula too much, this is up there for me as one of the best marvel movies, it's got a good story, great characters and acting, good writing/directing/script, a good dialogue, the shots were good, great action and effects, the score/soundtrack is really good, it's very entertaining/funny, and it's such a fun time which is what you would expect from an amazing director like James gunn, the only problems I have are the names of the planets, ships and aliens are so dumb and I don't like the beginning of the movie when star lord is young, it's so cheesy and corny but thank goodness it got better after, and the villain had a pretty weak motivation but that's where my problems, if you're looking for a fun time then watch this movie right now cause it's so much fun

Christopher L (it) wrote: I was expecting that to be funny and forgettable, but this movie was so acerbic and stupid I can't stop thinking about it. Legitimately clever, in a dumb way. Will probably rewatch at some point.
Darcy M (it) wrote: Just ...wow. This is two different movies. The first is oddly empowering and puts you on the weird side of the story by making you sympathize completely with a mass murderer. But the second half takes an odd turn you need to just go with and you discover that the film is really about something else. To me, the film was about violence against women in culture, i.e. horror movies, police procedurals, etc... and how we carelessly martyr young women in stories. But CRAP the ending is upsetting and I found the film to be genuinely disturbing.
