Thomas P (it) wrote: For me, this movie had a few issues. I think the acting was really bad in some parts. It seemed as if there were a lot of edits done for the daughter's scenes because of her acting level. Which is completely understandable, but some parts were definitely cringe-worthy. And JB Smoove was just bad. Lastly, any portrayal of romantic relationships was pretty bad, outside of one moment that we'll come back to...That being said, I thought this movie was really FUN. The daughter was adorable, and the son was fair and really looked like Damon in some shots. There were also some pretty humorous and cute moments that drew me back in. And about the point I'd get back to... If you find yourself asking the question "Why would I watch this movie?" I'd have to say "Why not?"Great callback for a really awesome ending.

Chris C (de) wrote: Though it maybe formulaic, Shootfighter is a pulse-pounding actioner with a decent plot and reunites "Karate Kid" antagonists, William Zabka and Martin Kove, in two solid performances.

Cassandra M (kr) wrote: Visually, this may be one of the most stunning films you will ever see. The photography, framing, lighting and use of colour is unequalled in this genre of film making from this era. The fluidity of the camera-work is remarkable and repays repeated viewings to appreciate it fully. The only thing that may make this difficult going for some is the English dubbing so see it with subtitles if you can. The acting is not great and in some places will bring about laughter where it was not intended ditto the actions of some of the victims. The murders are gruesome and graphic even in the cut version of this film and must have been truly shocking to audiences in 1964. The excellent music score fits perfectly with the fashion house setting of the story and the models are beautiful.

Crews O (jp) wrote: This movie is combination of two things that I adore. It combines some of the greatest hand drawn animation from Walt Disney Animation Studios, and some of the greatest classical music by some of the greatest composers of all time. All of this and more makes it my favorite film of all time.

Tabitha M (it) wrote: Brilliant! An interesting take on 1940s anti-semitism in America... Basically, William H Macy lives in a racist neighbourhood in which the violence is steadily getting out of control. One day he gets a pair of glasses that makes him appear Jewish to some people - and while he is not Jewish, he begins to be treated as badly as the other Jews are in his neighbourhood. Macy is really great, as usual, and his supporting cast are just as engaging. Best movie I've seen in a long while.
