Woman In Gold

Maria Altmann, an octogenarian Jewish refugee, takes on the Austrian government to recover a world famous painting of her aunt plundered by the Nazis during World War II, she believes rightfully belongs to her family. She did so not just to regain what was rightfully hers, but also to obtain some measure of justice for the death, destruction, and massive art theft perpetrated by the Nazis.

The film tells about the life of a Jewish woman survived after the Second World War and sought against the Austrian government to collect the precious paintings of artist Gustav Klimt. Would she achieve her targets and have Gustav Klimt's paintings? . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Toby L (br) wrote: A solid first effort- they did a good job of setting and keeping a mood and building suspense. There were some missteps in the writing, dialogue, and acting, and a little too much was left to the imagination (factors that may turn somebody off if they don't take the indie-ness into account or if they expect a typical horror film), but the fact that it maintained my interest throughout and left an impression speak well to the things that were done right.

Don S (jp) wrote: I've now seen both the original and this American remake, The original seems to tell the story better. There is nothing wrong with this one - same great story, pretty good acting - It's just Rapace nailed Salander and Mara only came close. Both versions are worth the time to watch.

Tony M (au) wrote: It's entertaining when you see the comedians take down the hecklers during their performance, but for the most part it just turned into "Jamie Kennedy's Whine Show" and almost gets a little counterproductive to what it's trying to do.

Has a few edges of 1980's villains to it as well that is certainly enjoyable
