John R (au) wrote: 120825: Downloaded this film by mistake while searching for another classic from my youth. I remember someone telling me Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was considered one of the worst films of all time. Man, Attack was ten times better than this farce. I hope the people involved in the making of this film are happy with their work because no viewer is going to be. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Bad acting. Hey, I hate to break it to you; implied sex does not a movie make. Young bodies do not a movie make. This film is so bad I'm hesitant to give it half a star. I really don't want to be responsible for wasting an hour and a half of someones life. This film is worse than my half star but I stuck through it. I have to remember to give myself a present.

Bronwyn K (es) wrote: imagine reading Lolita except your expected to sympathize with Humbert Humbert, because raising a kid while also fucking them is REALLY HARD, but also at the same time Lolita kills nazis, that is this movie.

James M (fr) wrote: Excellent war film, told from the point of view of a boy who thinks it's all fun, games and adventure. It's clear that it's a personal pet project for John Boorman, who directs his own screenplay with a touch of poetry. There's some good jokes too. Very good.

Derek B (fr) wrote: This is a movie I always watch around Christmas. A wonderful tale.

Greg D (ag) wrote: An original genre gangster piece made all the best thanks in part to the performances of Ben Kingsley and Ian McShane. Glazer works some non-linear structure into the plot to elevate the film further.
