Alex r (mx) wrote: Average documentary about Tool vocalist Maynards James Keenan endeavor in operating his own winery in Arizona. I really thought that this film, though interesting lacked in really giving wine enthusiasts something worthwhile to watch. This is a film more for fans of Tool, and though I really love Keenan's music, I found this film to be lacking. For fans, this film will certainly give you another aspect of Maynard's life. The process that is used in making wines is documented here, but like I said, there is something lacking here to really make this documentary stand out. I liked the documentary, but I've seen better films in the genre. If you're expecting a great documentary, you'll be sadly disappointed. This is a movie strictly for Tool fans, and even then, this may be a disappointment. For a wine making documentary, there should be a much better film than this. I felt that this one just touched the tip of the iceberg of wine making, The film doesn't go in depth into the process, which is what I wanted, and it opens a door into Keenan's other passion other than music. Overall, good, but it should have been much better. Blood Into Wine is only an average documentary on wine making, and it's one of those documentaries that needed to be more elaborate in terms of its subject, and considering that Wine making is such a passion for many people, you'd expect a great movie. Good for what it is, but it's not the definitive wine making documentary. Luckily Tool is a great band, and it's interesting to see this part of Keenan's life, but in the end, that's all this film is.

Larry W (jp) wrote: This film really deserves about 3 stars, but since the only other rating is 2, I thought I should probably counterbalance that. This 1970 update was about 7 years ahead of its time, though not especially compelling now.

Daniel R (us) wrote: Truly unlike any film you'll ever see, Waltz With Bashir is a visually arresting, graphic and haunting journey into the horrors of war. Although it is animated, this film is actually a psuedo-documentary, recounting the experiences of director Ari Folman, a veteran of the First Lebanon War. Ari encounters an old friend of his who is having nightmares of his own experiences, and wonders why his own memories seem to be so full of holes. He has largely forgotten the horrors of what he saw and did and experienced in that war, and decides to dig deep into his past and find the memories he has lost. He reconnects with others who were with him or involved in the conflict and slowly begins to piece together the terrible things he and his friends and comrades saw or did. While the film is not without a few flaws, namely a couple of odd and out of place sexual scenes, it is a stunning and unique experience that burrows into your mind and leaves you shaken by its conclusion.

Sheridan P (de) wrote: This blows my previous review about watching "reading movies" right out of the water. Hillarious in it's sameness to all the other Bollywood gangster movies I've seen. Gangster is hard and cold, falls in love, kills people haphazardly. The most hillarious thing was that they actually managed to fit 2 dancy singys in - when they absolutely didn't fit. This movie's only saving grace, for me, was that they would show about 5 mins of a conversation, and then show another 5 mins of the ppl gesticulating and facial expressing, but with no sound, which meant that you could look away and stop reading.

Jamin M (nl) wrote: It's James Cameron's blockbuster Titanic. I'm just going to say it. I freakin' love this movie. Yeah, say what you want, but I think the film is pretty good. I honestly don't why this movie has received backlash. There's absolutely nothing so wrong with the movie that it needs such harsh criticism, at least to me. What I absolutely love about this film is how James Cameron recreated the wreck. It looked so well-done. The special effects are very good and Cameron truly makes me feel the terror of the event. The acting and casting choices were good. Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio do good jobs. Billy Zane is an over-the-top but enjoyable villain. The romance is also cute and believable. The film does suffer from somewhat weak writing, mainly dealing with the fact that Jack and Rose constantly refer to each other by name. Seriously. Couldn't they say "sweetheart" or "my love" or something? And there are some corny lines. There's also the famous debate over whether or not Jack could have survived the wreck, the answer to which is yes. This film really didn't deserve its backlash. I even saw a review that said "the most dreadful piece of work I've ever seen in my entire life" Seriously? There are worse films out there than this. Yeah, it's corny. Yeah, it's clich (C)d . But I don't care. Titanic is personally one of my most favorite movies. It's visually stunning with likeable characters and a sweet love story. It has its flaws and it's not perfect, but it's pretty enjoyable

Bill B (fr) wrote: This movie was an okay timewaster as far as movies for a lazy Sunday afternoon goes. Van Damme again plays a dual role (how many times has he done that now?) as both a serial killer as well as a cloned version that a cop hopes can somehow keep him a step ahead of his violent counyterpart. It's worth a look for Van Damme fans, and Rooker is decent enough as the cop on the edge, but it's nothing all that ground-breaking one way or the other.Give it a rental if you're a fan of the talent involved.
