Brodie A (mx) wrote: I read the books in middle school and laughed the whole time. Georgia Nicolson is a british adolescent learning to grow up. She has body issues, boy issues, parent issues, and friend issues. It's quirky and silly. It made me laugh more than Neighbors.

The main character of the movie is a young girl who stops talking when her parents start fighting with one another. The girl narates throughout the film (it's supposed to be what she is thinking about what happens around her). Only the veiwer gets to hear her comments as her parents yell about one thing and another. You also get to find out about all the things she misses from when she was younger like sleeping between her parents in the big bed. This is an endearing and thought provoking film and should not be missed.

Bleak M (nl) wrote: Lovely, mysterious, and evocative -- A character study in which the author's grotesque and pulpish creations wander in and out of his life. Has a peculiarly foggy sex scene in which several pornographic movies are superimposed, with shadows superimposed upon THEM, finally with real sex superimposed on it all. Art direction and photography are superb.

Don S (ca) wrote: Billed as the female Conan the Barbarian, this is anything but. This is a low budget, B-movie with what you'd expect from the genre: bad acting, characters with little to no depth, and so bad they are nearly funny effects. There is nothing to see here.

Chris J (it) wrote: Smart horror film about movie monsters and real life monsters. Karloff basically plays himself as aging horror star retiring from movies while an all american man turned sniper guns down strangers for fun. Alternately unsettling and moving as it slowly blends the two stories together culminating for an unusual showdown between the two characters.

Matt G (mx) wrote: Anchors Aweigh keeps its two titans in their respective lanes nicely ("Kelly: dance and be charming! Sinatra: sing and be cool!...and, action!"), and it's hard not to be entertained by them. However, this is nowhere near either of their best work. An unbearably long film about sailors falling in love with the "wrong" girls, it has very little actual meat on its bones. Other than a couple of high points (Tom & Jerry cartoon, the funnier songs), this is a mostly unremarkable musical comedy.
