You Will Believe: The Cinematic Saga of Superman torrent reviews

my n (it) wrote: the only thing you can say to or about the movie is why. why are you ripping off an already terrible movie? why are the snakes eating people? why are the snakes inside her body? why did the giant snake eat the train? why are the people at asylume mentally retarted? why did they let that guy on the train? why did they even make this film? WHY??????????????????????????????

Daniel S (au) wrote: Not as memorable as The Punisher (2004) Rey Stevenson just looks bored and grumpy, at least the action is dark, brutal, gritty and violent. Especially the opening 20 minutes. And Jigsaw steals the show half the time.

John S (ca) wrote: Minnesotans will like this movie, if just for the many references to our state alone. Citizens of the town of Columbia Heights, MN will like it even more. There's not much for the rest of the country. It's a average parody.

Private U (it) wrote: This was a one time favorite for me back in the 90'. Reading other people's reviews, I can't help but feel many people didn't understand the movie. It has this interesting way of telling the story as if a book (you can tell it was based off one, for better or for worse), which is a nice change of pacing of the genre. There are some powerful ideas, like the book that goes blank from page 87 onwards (can't say more without spoilers), that still gives me the chills. Some of the twists, especially when Jackson's character is put to sleep, are unexpected enough. Plus, the core plot about a mystery that seems complex and yet it's so very simple, has a poetry to it. Even with a direction that is a bit too 80's. You have things like a sentient creature talking through a computer that you don't know what to make of, the inteligent (and yet wrong, which is even better) guesses about what's going on, and psychology as a second protagonist to the scifi. They are all mighty good choices. But I will admit the plot isn't strong enough to stay in memory for a long time - that's why I just watched it again - AND this is clearly a sign that Sphere, while good, is not the best out there either. It does feel like Jackson's characters and especially Stone's character lacked screen time, and thus came off as a bit of an empty shell, too alien to relate to. Though this might be intentional while paranoia rampages through the second half of the movie, it feels like the depths of all of them isn't suficiently portrayed for us to properly appreciate some of the situations and inner conflicts these characters are struggling with throughout the movie. Can't say I was moved or impressed by the acting, either. And the music was a let down too. That said, this was not a bad movie. Maybe because it had so many big names it feels like it should have been a mindblow. Still, I don't think I will stop liking Sphere anytime soon.
