Robert C (us) wrote: In spite of the bland acting and direction, it presents an unexpectedly interesting story about that time when Christianity was the ISIS of its day.
Kasia K (au) wrote: It is a beautiful story worthwhile watching till the end with attention, as it is only at the end that the full plot becomes clear to us. In fact, Robert Malone is falling in love with his own wife, and Mike and Alex are his children, and not just a young neighbour or his boss. Mary makes a "new" acquaintance by inviting her own husband for a date as this seems the only possibility for her to re-enter the life of an old man who is slowly sinking into the Alzheimer's oblivion. When she fails to supply him with his daily medicine, it is too late to stop the impact of Robert's disease. PS. It seems that no-one at Imdb or Wikipedia ever watched it properly - that explains why the descriptions there are totally misleading and wrong.

Jordan M (es) wrote: One of my top 3 favorite movies. I could watch this thing over and over on repeat and not get tired of it. It's just that good. The acting, writing, directing, scenery, it's all amazing. Don't even get me started on the songs because they are ALL classics, in my opinion. This is what Trey Parker and Matt Stone made before they created South Park and all of that humor is here and in full gear. It's just a blast and the most fun I've ever had watching a movie.

It's unfortunate but ultimately their choice,Huge changes come this time around as we see our folks with families and adult lives and thoughts. Gone are a lot of the cockiness of youth. A lot... not all. Some folks seem to know who they are and what they want while others seem lost in life still. It was nice to see a couple of the "kids" grow up and stop being the brats they were in the last couple installments.

Luc L (us) wrote: This sleazy, cheap, action-adventure does have its moments. Grier and Markov do well in their roles but they don't seem to have any chemistry together. The story takes awhile to get it rolling. The second half is more successful than the first half. Haig steals the show, when he is on-screen as a sleazy drug dealer, who dresses himself as a cowboy. Who is also a tracker, who trying to find Grier and Markov in the movie. Perphas it is notable that Oscar-Winner Jonathan Demme co-wrote the story. A tribute to "The Defiant Ones" to some degree. Although Grier and Markov don't hate eachother as much. It is watchable, especially for fans of Grier's work and Haig's work.

Jacob B (mx) wrote: I thought that xXx: State of the Union could be a fun movie at times and Ice Cube seemed to be having fun blowing stuff up but overall I think it would've worked better as a stand-alone film particularly because it ditches the enjoyable stunts that Vin Diesel pulled off in the first movie in favour of a climax that prefers to top it all off with CGI and also has a generic assassinate-the-President-of-US plot. While this movie could be a slight guilty pleasure, it also suffers from generic joke dialogue that I think is actually supposed to be funny such as an inevitable joke about the title XXX, something that Rob Cohen thankfully ditched in the first film and how Samuel L. Jackson initially asks Ice Cube's character who said the quote "Wars come and go, but my soldiers stay eternal" with Darius Stone simply saying "Tupac". Uh, ha ha? I still think, as a movie that's basically just black James Bond, that this movie could've been far worse.
