Anna C (mx) wrote: The movie is not quite good, but the leading actors performances are great: Colin Firth is superb as always, with a strong american accent so far from his other characters, and Emily Blunt confirms to be on of the best young talent around... they makes a great couple and this is just enough to watch this film.
Ashley H (br) wrote: Hip Hop music to a period western. Modern phrases like "cool" and too many others to keep track of. "The sistahs are in tha house"!? French manicured nails on hard riding girls. Microphone packs visible on Li'l Kim's back. I can't go on with litany of errors made by the director and editors. However, the acting isn't as bad as I've ever seen. The women did well enough with a poor script. It was weird hearing Louis Mandylor speaking in his native accent. The girls are beautiful. The costumes fabulous albeit completely incorrect. I can't believe they would dumb down what could have been a great story. I would feel offended to believe that this movie was loaded with such trappings that it would play well in the inner city.
Laura W (ru) wrote: Fun Bad B Movie. This sequel has little to do with the its predecessor beyond borrowing the corpse of the villain. It's a not-bad plot with not-bad acting and not-bad effects with one massive, ridiculous plot twist. Enjoy the roulette of a 'who dies next' monster film if you can ignore the bad blood (I mean unconvincing fake blood) and cheesy lines.
Andrew S (de) wrote: Safe is the defining word for this film. Although it plays with minority issues within Britain this inoffensive and politically correct soccer comedy does poke fun at cultural values and their modern relevance. The soccer story is merely a backdrop to the ongoing family issues. Keira Knightley, Johnathan Rhys-Meyers and newcomer Parminder Nagra perform adequately in this very safe film. First time rating: 6.5/10

Joel A (kr) wrote: Quite an interesting, offbeat film for the late great Patrick Swayze. One of kind, special film that came and went in Hollywood, but is well worth the watch. The story really hits hard on the mentalty of poverty not just the physical aspects. Many of the characters that inhabit this film are mentally so limited by what they think they can do, Swayze opens their minds and they in turn help him. There are many powerful themes presented, and I found it quite a thought provoking film indeed. Really makes you think what can I do in this world?
