Oliver N (de) wrote: Another solid Liam Neeson movie, but, like its protagonist, is quite forgettable.

Kyle M (de) wrote: Like the other family horse flick "Dreamer," it has a heartwarming father-daughter story that'll capture your heart, while this film is also sad. (B)(Full review coming soon - with better wording probably)

Zachary M (br) wrote: Everyone who has ever mad a film or wanted to make a film needs to watch this. You will instantly sympathize with Johnny Deep's partial of Ed Wood, the notorious director of what are often referred to as the worst movies ever. His passion is unparalleled, but his technical ability is far behind what he can muster. It makes for both tragic and truly hilarious moments. No one but Burton could have made this film. It stands as a love letter to its name sake, to old 50's scifi, and anyone who loves and tries or tried to make movies. Bravo, everyone in this movie deserves a big pat on the back.

Everything is fine until the mom meets a man (Adam Baldwin) and he turns out to not be a very good stepfather. As time goes on, we see that the stepfather is a bad drinker, and he begins to beat the youngest brother Bobby for any and every little thing. To escape the beatings, the two brothers try and build a plane from a Radio Flyer red wagon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I really enjoyed this film as a kid... But I most say now that it's not a good movie. It never really address anything... It sort of turns into a disney movie at the end. No really message is sent at all. I understand the two boys are the main focus, but nobody else really gets screen time here. So few of the characters are developed. So what we have here is a movie that starts to go into something real, but it chickens out and turns disney like with a lame ending.

Incredible direction and cinematography as always. I really don't understand how he creates such a great look to his films with such low depth of fields.
