Some funny stuff happens as he starts to feed and cops start to track him in this fish-outta-water story. The vampire makes a low-life criminal his "ghoul", essentially zombie-like go-fer that is basically a vampire-in-waiting; he a source of much of the humor. Not nearly as bad as its reputation. Maybe Eddie Murphy fans expect him to always be funny, which he only was when he played Preacher Pauley and (the racially-charged) Guido.

It's oddball with crazy characters.....Eastwood starts off pretending to be a priest, and George Kennedy (who worked with Clint in 'The Eiger Sanction') is a right bastard towards Jeff Bridges 'Lightfoot'. The mexican guy who plays pool against 'Thunderbolt' is really funny - just watch his face and listen to his accent when he's describing what happened - ''s like this see....i got my pecker out.....' etc lol. It's suppose to be a heist movie, but it's more of a chase.....with rabbits.

Jason D (it) wrote: Death Spa is perhaps one of the most inventive 80's horror movie Cheese-fest I have ever seen. The owner of a technologically-advanced Gym is plagued by hauntings from his dead wife as she picks off the staff and customers of his gym one by one in sometimes dumb and sometimes gory ways. In a nutshell, this film is downright hilarious at times, but when the horror kicks in at the last half of the film, it often becomes reminiscent of films like Re-Animator or Phantasm. There is also a LOT of gratuitous nudity in this film, which is a plus, especially considering I've only seen the heavily trimmed R-rated version of this. As far as characters, most of the cast is ho-hum, especially the only recognizable face in this film, which is the gym owner's best friend (played by the amazing Ken Foree) who offers very little to the film sadly, although their best friend interactions within the film are dangerously close to being homoerotic. Still, fun little film.
