Jess L (it) wrote: A wonderful kids movie with all the characters from sesame street and a host of cameos from famous actors like John Candy and Chevy Chase. A great film with lots of heart and a real message to it. I remember watching this when I was younger and recently revisited it only to find it's still as good as it used to be.

Daniel K (ru) wrote: 2.5: Interesting film, but it doesn't quite seem complete. One imagines it should be part of a larger story where the origins of Friday, the alien ships conducting the attacks, etc are all explained. It's rather amusing how authentically scientific it purports to be, but I guess it is supposed to a Sci-Fi fantasy. I'm pretty sure Mars is nothing like this. Still, it is unique among the Sci-Fi films of the 50's and 60's I've seen, which I suppose is why Criterion has chosen to release it.
