Cinderella's a great story, but you gotta ask yourself: does it really need 1,999 sequels? No. Frankly I'm disappointed most at the flagrant ignorance they sport by not releasing this film in 7D; It doesn't capture at all the string theory motifs that so dominate the original. I mean, at least 4D smell o vision. Incredibly disappointing.

Darren R (ru) wrote: I watched the unrated version, I don't know how it compares to the original shot for shot, but I do know the ending is far darker than the original theatrical cut. Even up to the climax, however, there is plenty of blood and violence. A bare bones plot with too few characters makes this a bit of a slog to sit through. Roddy MacDowall is great, to be sure, and he prevents this from being an outright bad film. I do enjoy the production design, and the music had some good moments.
Sid C (gb) wrote: The story is secondary as Frankenheimer's stylish treatment captures the thrills and glamour of Grand Prix racing. The cars may have changed considerably since this film came out but the aura that surrounds the championship and the drivers remains the same. Garner and Montand provide star power but don't look like Grand Prix drivers though.
