Leanne E (au) wrote: After Ain't it Cool News called More Than Honey the Citizen Kane of bee movies I had to see how a documentary about Honey Bees could stand in the same ranks as the greatest movie ever made. To my surprise More Than Honey lives up to the hype. Not only is the cinematography beyond amazing but the narration and facts keep the audience interested the entire time. More Than Honey draws you in from the opening line, which is a shocking quote from Albert Einstein that informs the audience that "If the bee disappeared off the face of the earth, man would only have four years left to live." The movie then goes on to show you why this would happen and how we are literally killing ourselves by depleting the bee population. It's alarming and fascinating at the same time and is sure to leave the audience with a more caring attitude to the Honey Bee.

Todd S (fr) wrote: If Seinfeld is the show about nothing, Altered is the movie about nothing. These four friends were abducted by aliens fifteen years earlier, so these geniuses decide to get revenge by kidnapping one of the aliens. They accomplish their goal, but once they do, they don't know what to do with it and lock it in the garage. After that it becomes a slasher film where nothing significant really happens. Honestly, they kidnapped this thing and then don't know what to do with it, so then what's the point? To make things worse, we never see the abduction or find out what exactly happened to them up there. It's just an extremely dark and confusing hunting scene, which believe it or not features a harpoon, and then there is nothing else. As for the acting it is just as inconsistent as the story! One minute their going crazy, trying to kill each other and the next they're crying about old times, it's ridiculous! James Gammon is the only name in this thing, playing the sheriff in one of his last roles. The guys are so intimidated by the sheriff and when we finally see him, we find out he's this little eighty year old guy, are you kidding me? This movie is a complete disaster and an utter waste of time. Being that it's from the writer/director of The Blair Witch Project, I was expecting something as groundbreaking as that was, unfortunately, Altered isn't it and there is a good reason why you've probably never heard of it.

The Sarandon character offers the greater dimensional depth, and Lancaster does a good job of cultivating the character a faded wannabe lower-rung mafia man.

Tor M (gb) wrote: Nothing at all like expected - it takes some nice turns and adds up to something refreshing, original and interesting. A great pace and a constant motion makes it easy to enjoy. It's constant development is maybe the best feature of the film. You never know what to expect, and for a classic of this calibre it's pretty unique. It's got weirder moments, sadder moments and some funnier ones. I like the weirder ones best, like the party. It's close to bizzarre, trippy and creepy. Super. I really, really like the dreams that comes here and then - it lifts the movie a lot, and makes the film's main themes a lot easier to catch. A brilliant touch!Well acted by the two leads, I can't decide witch one of them doing the best job, they are both delivering one of their best performances. A brave film, certainly ahead of it's time.8.5 out of 10 radios.

John M (br) wrote: Overall a decent movie. Sadly it is terribly similar to Zak Bagans and his crew on "Ghost Adventures." Grave Encounters is another "found footage film" that is worth a watch, but not worth a buy.

David S (mx) wrote: I love this series as it is just fun for me. I enjoy these films, especially if I'm just looking to watch a mindless action flick. My gripe with this one is the bogus PlayStation 2-like graphics when the mutated creature comes around. I also thought it was pretty funny that Milla's complexion and looks were perfect throughout the entire film (not that that is a complaint, she is stunning). The story is interesting enough to keep me invested and the ending I thought was really cool!
